I have been using corsair keyboards (and other corsair products) for YEARS without any issues. No one ever backs up their statements when they have issues with corsair but still shit talks them.

But OTOH, although I've never used a Corsair KB, I have used their coolers, fans & cases without any issues whatsoever, well, not counting that dreadful, p.o.s crash test dummy they call iClue(less) anywayz

Do we need to point out which market segments are growing faster? Corsair likely knows. Give the people what they want. And also address markets that haven't been given the right amount of attention.

Please don't forget that girls and women are people too and deserved to be recognized and treated like equal human beings, not as second class citizens or afterthoughts.

Take a Look at Keychron, akko, ducky, epomaker, mountain or if you want a "gaming" brand glorious, xtrfy, odin, wooting etc . look for yourself but i will say $100-150 depending on the size/layout will give u hotswap, aluminum, pbt caps, usb c detachable , possibly a rotary knob, and many other upgrades to the sound and feel and user serviceable boards that you can change/upgrade including optional upgrades etc not some plastic mold shit that corsair sells. noone needs to back this up , just google.

you may wonder : why are these Corsair /logi/razer boards so expensive if they’re not that good? They are not expensive they’re cheap boards to manufacture what’s expensive is the software icue is a huge investment from Corsair that makes up a good chunk of the board price. The sheer size of it is mind blowing integrating water pumps to mice and keyboards .This doesn’t come for free even if it’s not a separate charge and ofc there is the brand name.

you may also wonder : why are corsair /razer/Logitech boards so popular if they are inferior to a cheaper custom board ? Because they sell them through local retail channels and they have a huge fan base that is already invested in a thousand other products they sell.

I don’t despise corsair in fact I’ve owned my fair share of oem boards and many other products from them and razer and logi but always helps to know what options you have. You can grab a $50 board for $200 and with some fancy software or an almost $200 keyboard for $200 using a simple to use open source software like qmk.

I personally do not care about custom boards. In fact, I do not like the looks of most if not all of them. I dont like the fact that I basically have to build the keyboard myself. I dont get the appeal of detachable USB-C (though my current K70 RBG Pro has this but was not the deciding factor in the purchase), I am not a fan of TKL either. I like my media buttons. My current corsair keyboard has an aluminum frame and has PBT doubleshot keycaps and have a 1.2mm actuation distance for key registration. I can also store profiles onto my keyboard for various effects I looked at the Xtrfy keyboards. The K4 RGB, only has 1,000Hz polling rate. My keyboard is 8,000.

I like the icue ecosystem. I have seen MSI's and its garbage. Ive tried Signal RGB, but that is too complex and i dont want to spend the time trying to figure it out.

I am not sure you understand what you pasted here. im not gonna bother . many are prebuilts, 100% is the most common layout, actuation distance is variable and some boards hit 0.1 depending on the switch, polling rate is default 1K on 99% of boards with 8k being a proven marketing gimmick.

Not sure about the quality, but between having to rely on their software & the nasty pastel color scheme, I could do without. I prefer the keyboards black with illuminated keys since I keep the room lighting low. Plus I prefer having the number pad since I'm often entering number coordinates.

Oh man this ones huge for me
So many simple little things that help

1. In 5 seconds it's off the table and gone if i want to move it. No, you cant unplug your full sized one and move it that fast, go time it.
If you have any cable management whatsoever, it's going to take you minutes to remove and swap out a keyboard for cleaning, for example.

2. You can adjust the length or replace a faulty cable. Regular keyboard? Bin time. Try and coil up or cable tie your cable and you're at risk of breaking the cable.

3. hotswap keyboard. It's almsot as good as being wireless - i can move this keyboard around between all my PC's in seconds, by using different cords.
The amount of times i've needed a keyboard for 30 seconds to type in a password or enter a BIOS and then not needed it for the rest of that build/repair, yeah its super easy to move my TKL keyboard over, use a short cable from my phone charger and get 'er done


4. on that note, being able to swap between USB A and C is great because i do actually use my razer keyboard on android and my smart TV's at times - and it works perfectly fine.
