ASUS rolled out the PCE-AXE59BT WLAN adapter, ideal to update the wireless networking connectivity on your machine, if you lack an M.2 E-key slot. The low-profile PCI-Express x1 add-on card supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax 6 GHz band), with data-rates of up to 2402 Mbps in the 6 GHz and 5 GHz radio bands; and up to 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. Besides Wi-Fi, the card also provides Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. A pair of dual-MIMO antennae come included with the card. ASUS did not mention the manufacturer of the WLAN controller, and isn't listing drivers yet, so it could be either Intel or MediaTek. The company didn't reveal pricing, but it is expected to be around the $50-mark.

Finally. The two products easy to get in most countries are the TP link model of this, and the Asus one. Asus was out of date. I don't see any advantage to Asus over TP Link honestly, so I'll get the TP one tomorrow.

Wait a second, this is the same as the old model, the AXE58BT model. Nothing changed? Also it is $100 CAD and the TP Link model is $70. So that's easy.

I went to the Asus website and it says there are zero differences except for a gram difference in weight. AXE58 versus AXE59. Weird.

Maybe the wifi chip is different but the specs are identical.

Because Wifi is only for accessing internet? Some people...

Well, Asus can only use what combined WiFi+BT-Chips are available.

I have to use Intel AX200 instead of GbE in my new flat and was positively surprised by the upgrade from AC 450/1733 to AX 574/2402 (from 20-40MB/s to 60-80MB/s). Sadly. there is no WiFi-AX-adapter with four streams like the Asus AC68 before and no router with integrated modem with four streams AND 160MHz here in Germany that is not from Telekom, so 2.402MBit/s is the maximum for me atm.

I have the TP-Link WiFi6 only card, and it'll connect around 480Mbps out in my garage. So that's about two walls and 60' away or so. It makes a huge difference how far away you are and what's inbetween.
