Thermalright Rolls Out SI-100 White ARGB CPU Cooler

Thermalright today rolled out the SI-100 White ARGB, a low-profile aluminium fin-stack CPU cooler. The cooler features a "C-type" design. An aluminium fin-stack is arranged along the plane of the motherboard, skewered by six 6 mm-thick copper heatpipes, which pull heat from a C1100 pure-copper base. The base and heatpipes are nickel-plated (the heatpipes additionally have the matte-white paintjob); while the aluminium fins are anodized.

The included 120 mm TL-E12W-S fan features addressable RGB lighting, takes in 4-pin PWM for its main function and 3-pin ARGB for the lighting. It turns at speeds of up to 2,000 RPM, pushing up to 72.37 CFM of airflow, at up to 2.87 mm H₂O pressure, and 27.7 dBA maximum noise output. It features a durable fluid-dynamic bearing. With the fan in place, the Thermalright SI-100 White ARGB measures 120 mm x 120 mm x 99.8 mm (WxDxH), weighing 640 g. Among the CPU socket types supported are LGA1700, AM5, AM4, LGA1200, and LGA115x. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Hmm, this is one is actually quite interesting. but i honestly can't stand rgb right in my face like that.

im ok with some intake rgb fans that i can't really see, but give me a nice soft glow overall... but other than that i am staying away from rgb.

this would look great in my white/silver paladin themed build though, not going to lie.

i think i want the extra cooling a big noctua will give me though. I want to be running cold temps all the time

Well, you could just replace the fan with a non rgb one, that´s the first thing I would do if I had one

couldn't you just disable the rgb lighting effect and not replace the entire fan?

Thermalright has a non RGB version as well(though in all black), in case you want white then you might be forced to source non RGB fan.

Oh hey, this is actually unexpectedly cool.

Like a baby C14S, but still has the 6 heatpipes to perform. Don't see that very often.

Although, one of main reasons to run the C14S is to cool RAM, and orienting the Thermalright as shown provides no airflow there.....and RAM clearance looks suspect when oriented the other way.....but this is still one of the more interesting coolers I've seen this year.

I don't think that RAM clearance will a massive issue if cooler is oriented towards the RAM. The cooler will block RAM anyways so there's no need for RGB RAM and non-RGB tends to be shorter

edit: Looking at this cooler now, it might be interesting experiment to chop off the support bar underneath the fin stack and put fan (probably 15mm) there. Then this should just barely fit inside the Louqe Raw S1

Check out the thermalright peerless assassin 120se there's a white version and its not too tall either. Actually thermalright has a bunch of sweet all white hsf.

Yeah original config is probably fine for shorter DIMMs. Though, an underslung fan (even if no clearance issues from the spring screws, which is usually a tight fit on L12GE) seems like it would have serious issues with both VRM heatsinks (oriented left) or RAM (oriented right).

I'm not sure as to the support bracket. On one hand, it's only 100g heavier than a L12S, which isn't heavy enough to warrant structural support. On the other hand, it is actually a very smart design (supporting heatsink on both sides instead of just on the heatpipes side), and heavier C-type coolers have a tendency to loosen up/sag over time on the side opposite the heatpipes, without support.

So turn it off. ARGB is controllable for a reason. set a static colour, lower the brightness, disable it completely.

My guess is that it'll be reasonable. Thermalright has traditionally be fair in the price/value area.

This is a nice cooler in the looks department! The down-firing fans are the best IMPO. With 6 heatpipes, it's performance has to be good. Thinking I may have found the next default cooler line for my shop!
