Meet Ridge—an uncluttered, small form factor case designed to integrate seamlessly into people's living spaces and daily rituals. Developed for gaming and entertainment, Ridge offers generous compatibility in a space-saving format. It can house GPUs up to a length of 335 mm and has space for up to four 2.5" drives. Uncompromising accessibility and a well-structured interior layout make building in Ridge an intuitive experience. And to make it even easier, Ridge includes a PCIe 4.0 riser card, two 140 mm PWM Aspect fans and a USB type-C port.

For smooth operation, Ridge features ventilation on all six sides of the case, including a fabric front mesh and perforated top, bottom and side panels. It can also be placed horizontally or vertically, with two included feet, to flexibly integrate into gaming and entertainment spaces. An evolution of the slimline format, Ridge was developed in collaboration with gaming and entertainment enthusiasts to subtly improve their homes and enhance the small form factor PC experience.

I saw the opening there, I think it would fit mini DTX boards ?

On DTX, board extends to 2 PCIe slots. It looks like the PCIe riser being so wide will prevent that, SupremeFX audio heatsink and headers are all down there.

If you don't use a GPU and don't want case fans, that might work, but then again it won't as Impact doesn't work with iGPUs.

correction: it has the same CPU clearance of 70mm, so the SO-DIMM.2 will barely fit but not with its heatsinks.

In any event, Impact is a terrible choice for cases with severe cooling restrictions.

If you're thinking of the Impact
Yup, I was thinking about the C8I sitting in the house and maybe I could put it into this.
And yeah the m.2 card will be the issue ...
I guess the C8I will remain in the box then

It is still my daily driver, but it really isn't a very good form factor for SFF. I have wanted to switch to sandwich layout for a long time but it's not possible with this board. Asus bringing the Gene back this gen is the right move - besides NCASE M1 layout cases that will only fit DTX, other cases either support both or neither of them. mATX is the better form factor for the job anyway, no POST code on the rear means more space for I/O.

As for the case, it's clean, but the fabric front is clearly 100% form over function. If you aren't going to make it a solid panel, then at least make it meshed, or even better fan mounts for 80mm fans. They clearly understand since that's exactly what they did for the top of the case, to help the GPU.

Also, 12.6L is kinda big. The P-ATX is what, 10L with ATX support? Smarter ventilation too.

IKEA-edition...sorry couldn't resist :) ...too much like their brand image with that fabric. It's a good case and it is not too big. I think it should fit a DTX though, riser can be manipulated hopefully.

Yes and it is 100% matched for the IKEA speakers

The P-ATX can only use a 59nm air cooler, VS 70 nm and with the gigantic GPU cooler that we have now, you might not be able to fit something better than a xx60/x600 GPU with an AiO, and some triple slots are also going beyond the 60nm that the P-ATX can support, the Ridge can take an 82nm wide GPU.
The Ridge is actually better suited for this new gen of GPU, a lot of not so old SFF case have become "obsolete" when ADA GPU dimensions were revealed. The creators of the Dan case and Ncase m1 had to go back to their drawing board to ensure that people could fit at least a few 40x0 SKUs

Neat, but how about a Node 605 replacement as well?

Put a Define C on it's side? The Node 605 was a huge case for an HTPC by today's standards, very unlikely to ever see an update that shares any similarity with it.
