With the new Core Aurora reservoir with pump, Alphacool presents a sleek and stylish team. The combination of the revised successor to the Eisbecher, the Core reservoir and the elegant VPP Apex pump allows for performance-oriented water cooling.

The Core reservoir is equipped with an external thread on the acrylic tube, which ensures its stability and safety. 12 ARGB LEDs are installed in the pump top, which provide an extensive display of colors in the expansion tank. The included mounting kit allows the Core 100/200 Aurora Reservoir with VPP Apex pump to be placed freestanding in the case or to be mounted on a radiator or free fan spots. The 200ml or 400ml capacity is more than enough for any water loop.

The VPP Apex pump from Alphacool uses a smooth-running ceramic axle. The coils of the motor have been moved from the inside to the outside. These changes successfully counteract the emergence of vibrations, with the result that the pump operates stable as well as quietly. A positive side effect is that power consumption has been almost halved compared to similar pumps on the market. The speed range is controlled and reported via the existing 4-pin fan connector. The VPP Apex pump is equipped with a SATA connector as power supply.

Technical data of the reservoir:
  • Capacity: 200ml / 400ml
  • Material: acetal, acrylic
  • Connection: 3x G1/4" internal thread
  • Quantity of digital ARGB LEDs: 12
Features of the pump:
  • Material: aluminium, synthetic material & ceramics
  • Speed range: 2500 - 4500 RPM via 4-Pin PWM
  • Maximum pumping head: 4,25 m
  • Maximum flow rate: 340L/h
  • Operating voltage: 8-13 V DC (SATA Power Management)
MSRP 118.98€ - 124.99€ (including VAT).

What I lament is how much of a premium you have to pay for Alphacool products in Canada. I am sure that the $119 would be well North of $200.

Just be glad you don't have to pay that much premium for basically every single component.
