isn't the best value atm the x800's? they seems to be getting along fairly well for their old-ass specifications. hell, they're like cavemen in the olympics. you're not going to bet on them, but they'll be there.

The one thing that you have to remember with this card is PCI-E 2.0. I don't know how much of a boast that is going to give. The INQ is saying today that the 2400, 2600 cards are going to get a 10% board in speed and maybe more with crossfire, because those cards are PCI-E 2.0 too. I would like to see the HD2900 do the same thing, but there is no word on that.

What I'm thinking this card will be is a good mid-range card. Something that everyone seems to want, and more then likely something around the 200 market. I do not know for sure, this is all a guess from me on how much and what this card will be.

All I have heard is that Nvidia doesn't have anything like this.

The 8800GT is PCIE 2.0 and DX10.1 also I think, but as I said, supposidly not as fast, it is projected to come in at $199 for the 256MB version but $249 for the 512MB

I expect to see the R700 as the next flagship card early next year from AMD. The dual RV670 will more than likely be more money, but faster than 1 HD2900XT. This is the card that I'm guessing will hold them over until the R700 card comes out. Then again I could be wrong about the whole thing and see this single RV670 out run the HD2900XT. Who knows maybe it will, but maybe it only will in PCI-E 2.0.

That's one ugly retail box, not that I wouldn't mind owning it :p And this is the cheaper, lower clocked version Revival. The more expensive and faster dual slot cooling Gladiator was shown in World Cyber Games. Those few capasitors don't reflect too much confidence to me :/

Well if you didnt look at the Name, Yeston is Chinese Manufacturer, so the boards are probably much cheaper than the First Party ATI boards any which way you look at it.

Too bad my x1950 Pro died (artifacting months later)
