GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards, and hardware solutions, today announced the ultimate overclocking motherboard Z790 AORUS TACHYON with the latest 13th gen Intel Core processors has smashed 10 world O.C. records including PCMark 7, 3D Mark…etc, as well as 16 GFP (Global First Place) of individual category test by different core numbers, and obtained 9 HFP (Hardware First Place) highest record in specific CPU ID vs. core count. Designed by world-famous overclocker, GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS TACHYON packs overclocker-exclusive features with top-quality components to become the dream motherboard for overclockers, which delivers unparalleled O.C performance with a more friendly and thoughtful interface to set its leading role on Z790 O.C. motherboards.

"It's inspiring that Z790 AORUS TACHYON breaks 10 overclocking world records and more than 20 various overclocking scores, which not only proves GIGABYTE's strong R&D strength but also demonstrates that GIGABYTE's devotion to providing formidable O.C motherboard. We believe this is just the beginning and will continue to create superior overclocking performance and records by Z790 AORUS TACHYON. We look forward to seeing more overclockers around the world using this motherboard to break more world records!" said Jackson Hsu, Director of the GIGABYTE Channel Solutions Product Development Division.

Z790 AORUS TACHYON
GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS TACHYON is designed by well-known overclockers exclusively for overclocking. With the consistency from GIGABYTE's widely recognized durability and stability, Z790 AORUS TACHYON provides comprehensive power management through its advanced direct VRM power design of full tantalum capacitor matrix with better transient response and less mechanical interference to improve the stability of power supply and overclocking. The Shielded Memory Routing, SMD memory DIMMs with comprehensive DDR5 memory overclocking BIOS setting also enhance overclocking stability. Furthermore, the full-coverage thermal design of MOS area significantly improves heat dissipation to stabilize VRM operation with low temperatures. Furthermore, the built-in overclocking kit design on the motherboard provides shortcut keys, toggle switches, and voltage detection functions which many overclockers use for overclocking adjustment. This allows more convenient tweaking for overclockers to break the limit with ease.

Not suprised since it was Team AU that did at least 7 of them.
If I'm not mistaken the entity "Team AU" is actually a group of guys, not just a single individual and they all sub under the Team AU name like "BenchBros" was doing before except BenchBros are a pair of guys, not a group.

Either way it's still a great accomplishment, congrats to them!

remember the tag line for the Bionic man.... "we have the technology, we can make him better, stronger, faster".....

for ONLY $6M !

(and that was in '70's money, which would probably equate to about $23M nowadays, hehehe :))

LOL. That's my current mobo, where I keep everything underclocked and undervolted, in order to save power and heat. :D

Wish Gigabyte would spend less time on this stuff and more time on quality control, cause I am not the only with this Gigabyte B650 mobo to have horrible screeching coil whine coming from it, and no it is not the gpu.

Every time new hw is released, 10 fk'n broken records..... ya no shit. Break that record with 10y old hardware and impress someone.

Marketing trash. Nobody cares about OC records except the 10s of people using LN2. The rest of the sheep, stuck at stock.

Agree. And overclocking is practically worthless anyway with modern CPUs.

I knew people who opted for the most expensive board back in the days and still not knowing how to properly use it.

From the layout alone you cam tell, this is an enthusiast board. They just counted you will use four PCI slots for the GPU alone and left two on the bottom....
