At the 2023 International CES, be quiet! showed off its latest power supplies to capitalize on the PSU upgrade boom among PC enthusiasts. Leading their booth is the Dark Power 13, a successor to the Dark Power 12 series from 2021. This high-end PSU meets ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5 specifications, particularly for excursion tolerance. It is expected to come in several high-Wattage models starting from 850 W upward, but the one shown to us was 1000 W. The Dark Power 13 offers 80 Plus Titanium switching efficiency, a quadruple +12 V rail setup, and offers the latest power connectivity, including one 16-pin ATX 12VHPWR connector capable of 600 W continuous output along with excursions within PCIe Gen 5 specs.

The be quiet! Pure Power 12M series is a performance-segment product positioned a notch below the Dark Power 13, though still meeting both ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5 specs. It features a dual +12 V setup, and a nice touch with the modular connector backplane is that the rail connection of each connector is labeled. These PSUs offer a 600 W continuous 16-pin 12VHPWR connector just like the Dark Power 13, and offer 80 Plus Gold switching efficiency. The Pure Power 12M series comes in several upper triple-digit capacities, including 750 W, 850 W, and 1000 W. We were shown a 1000 W box.

The only connectors I can recognize are 16pin and the MB connectors and even then I have no idea what that 3pin next to the 24pin is for.
Is there a chart explaining all these new connectors?

That's the OC Key.
It's a button that fits on a PCIe slot which can switch between multi and single Rail.
P8 is just a 8Pin EPS connector for the CPU.
Drives is a 3x SATA daisy chained Cable
And the PCIe connectors are a 12 Pin to two 8 Pins.
This is BeQuiets standard Layout since years except of the new 16 Pin GPU Connector

My prediction, ATX 3.0 and PCIe Gen 5 popularity, its not going to increase, for the next three years.
As such, 95% of gamer they will continue to have a wider pack of PSU options.

I would like to see bequiet! simplify their segmentation. So many models with the same or similar naming schemes. The 13 series are the only easily identifiable units.

I'm looking forward to TPU "Dark Power 13" model review.
Curious whether the new model improves on 5VSB efficiency with S3 standby mode (ErP mode disabled) which is not so good with "Dark Power 12" model.
I need WakeOnLan on the PC (in Off/S3 mode) and expecting better power consumption than my 9-years old, but very efficient Seasonic Platinum SS-660XP2 F3 (2.3W in Off, 2.9W in S3).
I'd really appreciate if you could cover this in the review.

some site reviewed 750 and 1000W. They are a bit more efficient than dp12, but very much the same quality-wise (that is average).
