Acer through its gamer-focused brand, Acer Predator, is reportedly preparing custom-design AMD Radeon graphics cards for launch in 2023. The company already made an entry into the DIY gaming PC components space with Intel Arc "Alchemist" graphics cards, and Predator-branded high-end memory products, such as M.2 NVMe SSDs and memory kits. The company already showed off its engineering chops with custom-design graphics cards, such the likes of its Arc A770 Predator models, and it's expected that the Taiwanese PC giant will do the same with AMD Radeon cards. 2023 will see AMD ramp up its Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards based on the RDNA3 graphics architecture, across several price-points.

If they can keep them cold and keep pricing down, I might be interested. As much as I love Sapphire, they have become too premium in price.

No idea how it performs but the combo blower + axial Predator cooler looks very unique.

A fourth vendor for MBA and AIB cards surely can't hurt.

I hope that when it's out, HH would do a review on it, I'm curious as to temps with its unique cooler, performance wise, it should be similar to others.

It's nice having more AIB groups for AMD. Hopefully this can push more competition between each other, as the only real competitors right now is between Sapphire and Power Color, while the others don't give AMD the same level of treatment they give NVIDIA at the flagship level.

The problem isn't the lack of AIBs for AMD. The problem is AMD's ability to produce. Yesterday the Powercolor RD 7900XTX was available on Amazon to order again..... for delivery in the middle of March. Stock that is available now is priced scalped higher than the 4080.

What help is another AIB to split the insufficient amount of available silicon?

I've only had a Acer laptop to experience the brand and it was alright, as in it worked. Just hope they do a good job, seeing all the recent troubles AMD has had. Not bashing them, I like AMD!

I've had a lot of poor experiences with Acer products (mostly their desktops and laptops) so I have a sour opinion of them. That being said, the last time I touched an Acer product was probably 7 years ago so i'm willing to see if they've improved. I'll be interested in the reviews of these cards when they come out.

You are brave to consider Acer trash. In Australia Acer has an overall score of about 1.5 stars out of 5 in the laptop market. They are considered garbage. You would have to pay me to risk an Acer branded gpu.

I would of course rely on in-depth reviews that included a tear down, many different kinds of results, before i bought one.
