ASUS today announced the exciting 2023 version of the 16-inch Zenbook Pro 16X OLED (UX7602BZ) creator laptop, featuring a unique Intel processor and a brand-new ASUS Supernova system-on-module (SoM) Design. Developed in partnership with leading technology companies, this new laptop is the most powerful version ever released.

The breakthrough, ultra-compact ASUS Supernova SoM Design enables ultra-powerful performance from the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13905H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Studio drivers, and support for LPDDR5X DRAM that offers 7500 MHz memory frequency speeds, which is much higher than the previous LPDDR5. The new 2023 Zenbook Pro 16X OLED will noticeably improve video-editing performance and 3D rendering capacity—drastically shortening processing times for creative workflows.

The ASUS Supernova SoM Design provides the core components of an embedded processing system—including processor cores, communication interfaces, and memory blocks—on a single production-ready printed circuit board (PCB). This modular packaging technique has a number of benefits, including a reduction of the motherboard core area by 38%, which increases the overall cooling efficiency of the system. This in turn leaves extra room for the GPU power components, enabling this device to be equipped with top-notch NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU, giving users more stability, higher GPU performance and helping them to reach higher TDP values. The design also shortens the distance between the CPU and the memory chips, allowing the use of premium low-power LPDDR5X DRAM, which runs at a frequency of 7500 MHz. In addition, the laptop uses a liquid metal thermal compound that reduces the CPU temperature by up to 7° C in high-performance mode, allowing the laptop to achieve a total combined TDP of up to 155 W.

ASUS Supernova SoM Design delivers unprecedented performance to creators. Backed by the latest processors, new LPDDR5X memory, and the ASUS Supernova SoM Design, Zenbook Pro 16X OLED offers 1.4 times faster video editing and up to an astounding 8.9 times faster 3D rendering times compared to the previous generation enabling creators finish creative projects in record time.

And with the ASUS Supernova SoM Design, the latest ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is available with up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory, hitting an incredible 7500 MHz. This not only boosts memory read/write performance by 20%, but also gives creators the benefits of 1.7 times faster 3D rendering, as well as 2.4 times faster video editing, compared to LPDDR5X memory at 6000 MHz.

Zenbook Pro 16X OLED pushes the limits of innovation to increase the productivity of all creators. It has a CNC-machined unibody with an AAS Ultra mechanism that automatically lifts and tilts the keyboard to ensure a comfortable typing angle (up to 7°) and enhances system cooling, increasing airflow by 30%, for maximum performance. It also comes with ASUS Dial, the world's first physical dial enabling fast and intuitive control of creative apps, an enlarged haptic ASUS NumberPad, and has intelligent lighting with interactive effects. The previous version has won multiple global awards, including an iF Design Award 2022 and a 2022 Red Dot Product Design Award.

The 2023 Zenbook Pro 16X OLED has upgraded visuals, featuring a 16:10 16" 3.2 K 120 Hz OLED HDR Dolby Vision touchscreen with a 0.2 millisecond response time. It has a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 gamut, is Pantone Validated for color rendering, and is DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified with 550 nits peak brightness. It is also TÜV Rheinland certified for eye care.

There's also an up to 2 TB PCIe 4.0 x 4 SSD with a 6500 MB/s transfer speed, in an elegant 16.9 mm-thin 2.4 kg-light chassis with full I/O ports including the latest SD Express 7.0 card reader, HDMI 2.1, two Thunderbolt 4 slots, and a long-lasting 96 Wh high-capacity battery.

Should see the tests first, this thing has a 10nm intel inside which means you are paying a hefty price just to get the least power efficient cpu of the current market. Apple and amd are already on 5nm.

I'm tired of these manufacturers putting high end gpus that don't belong in the chassis for pure marketing purposes. If your gonna say it has a 4090, then make the chassis have proper cooling for it. If you gonna say a laptop has a 4080 or 4090 then it better be the one that has the highest power limit. It's sickening that consumers can go and spend thousands on a 3080 laptop and it is less powerful than a much cheaper 3070 laptop because of power limit constraints. In my opinion there should be no such thing as 40series laptops right now. The laptop gpu should match the performance of the desktop. So right now instead of 4090 laptops being released, we would have 3090/3090ti laptops being released as the new 4090 is comparable to the desktop 3090. Get rid of the whole TDP classifications and just pick a desktop gpu number that the laptop gpu matches. No more confusion. Quite simply, a laptop should not have a 4090 if it matches performance of a 4070/4080. This whole thing is so anti-consumer. Not everyone knows that laptop gpus are a generation behind. There should be a law enacted to stop this nonsense especially since the massive majority of consumers have no idea about TDP classifications.
