I'm all for this, and I would actually quite like making my case compatible, since few are, but it is like what four hours to Dremel at most

Hmnn next rig could get different, perhaps.

Ah,…

The mullet of motherboards,…

Business in the front and party in the back!!!

I’ve been kind of wishing they would do this with video card power connectors for a while now. That is to say, put the connectors on the same side as the PCIe connector or at least at the end of the card closest to the side of the PCIe connector. For vertical mount video cards it would be much easier to hide the cables.

As it stands now, there is little to no way to hide the power cables jutting out of the side of video cards.
Except it, in this case is more party in the front business in the back.
Your not gaming on the PSU, it's the business end, the usual CPU hsf side makes the party happen, purely technical wording chosen.

Got a few different cases piled up here, but so far they have not been under dremel treatment.

There missing out, this one is my first un dremeled case.

Usually for something worse than this, I mean this would look clean.

But it is also just a PC right, hmnn it's moments like these that a very good thread comes to mind, wtf not.

ah well, if dremel is the way to go with older PC cases to make cables, connectors to fit, then go ahead. :)
very good thread comes to mind, wtf not.
think I remember that thread.

Sure, a new standard would sort the inevitable issues that would arise from such a piecemeal move by some manufacturers. As it stands, you can see the incompatibility a mile away with existing standard hardware.

Completely hiding your cabling sins in the back of the case is very tempting though,...
