Although it is scheduled to launch next week, the first NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards have started to show up in retail, confirming some of the SKUs from various NVIDIA AIC partners. While price rumors officially start with those same retailers, this time around, the price has leaked earlier in the form of NVIDIA's official slide, and it should start at $599. Early listings and placeholder pricing put the GeForce RTX 4070 at rather high $823 or even $915.

The first RTX 4070 spotted came from MSI, and according to retail listings and ECC filings, it appears that MSI will have a couple of Ventus, Gaming, and Suprim series RTX 4070 graphics cards. According to the list from Videocardz, Gainward will offer RTX 4070 Ghost, in standard and OC version. Gigabyte is so far confirmed with RTX 4070 Eagle OC. Palit will have GamingPro and JetStream versions, and PNY will have two RTX 4070 graphics cards. Of course, more will show up as we draw closer to the launch date. First reviews for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 are expected on April 12th.

$599 MSRP... Yeah right...

Well let's be real some cards command more than MSRP like the 4090 at launch some less like the 7900XT.

Regardless of how retailers price it the market will dictate what it actually sells for.

Market won't do that, instead they just stay on shelves.

Technical if it doesn't sell the market dictated at it's price it isn't going to sell. I never said the market would dictate the lowering of it's price.

Trust me Comrade Xex, those cards will move off the shelves here in the US for $599.99 if they get decent reviews.

Not so sure it'll be all that positive other than for people who will buy Nvidia but nothing else

This is going to be more expensive than a 6800XT while offering 30% less vram with only similar raster performance 2 years later.

Sure the RT and efficiency will be better but in this price segment I'd be willing to bet that RT isn't all that important leaving just efficiency.

In a vacuum vs the comically overpriced 4070ti sure it'll look ok but vs a 2 year old 3080/6800XT not so much.

The 4070 is meant for 1440P. As far as crappy optimized games such as The Last of US ... let the console gamers keep that one.

It's meant for how someone spending 600 usd want's to use it artificial gimping it in a way that makes it only suitable for a specific resolution doesn't give it bonus points.

Quoting MLID never ends well for a publication that has a shred of decency. What a waste of oxygen that individual is.

While I don't doubt the original price when the fake 4080 12GB was 900 usd was 700 ish I think Nvidia learned their lesson with the 4070ti/4080 even at current pricing they don't seem to be selling at least to gamers all that well.

I do think Nvidia would sell a 4070 for 700+ if they could get away with it thankfully for gamers not that 600 usd is much better they aren't that brazen.

Ain't that the truth, the expanded though really is that any company would prefer to sell any product for the most they can get away with. There is reason to retain some hope though, consumer pressure forced them to unlaunch the 4080 12GB and rename it and drop the price, hooooooold.

The biggest thing that cracks me up about MLID is even though he seems to be on that amd coolaid he still uses Nvidia gpus.

He's a rumor channel anyone who takes his leaks as facts deserves to be disappointed. He was way off on rdna 3 perfomance but was close enough with ada. I like his videos with other creators where they ask questions and speculate but everything else is watch at your own risk content.

Keep dreaming.

It's a 1440p card now and 1080p lowered graphics setting cards in 2 years just like the 3070. Charging $800 to boot, why should anyone pay that much money for a card that will last 2 years of enjoyable gaming compared to something like the 1080 Ti that lasted 7 years and came in $100 cheaper?

Long live The King! The 1080Ti was the last truly great GPU Nvidia made.
