EK, the leading computer cooling solutions provider, is introducing White Editions of EK-Quantum Velocity² and EK-Quantum Vector² water blocks. These GPU and CPU water blocks feature EK's iconic white acetal standouts, with the Vector² GPU water block also having a white terminal. This AM5 water block is built upon an award-winning, market-recognized Velocity² platform that has so far received an iF Design award, a European Hardware Award, and a CES innovation award.

The Velocity² series water blocks outshined their predecessor and took over the market lead. Embedded in the Velocity² is a socket-specific, high-performance cooling engine with low hydraulic flow restriction. This is achieved through a combination of mounting pressure and cold plate geometry specifically tailored for the IHS and the die layout of the AMD AM5 socket. The asymmetric jet plate cutout also enables the flow to be directed into the areas that need it the most.

Due to the sturdy, integrated stock backplate that arrives with AM5 motherboards, the EK-ExactMount mounting system was re-engineered for a simplified installation process. The result is an "invisible" and even more user-friendly mounting mechanism hidden entirely inside the water block, accounting for a true single-piece product. The backplate is factory-mounted on the motherboard, while the spring-loaded Torx screws are integrated into the water block and are screwed in by counter-clockwise rotation into the stock backplate of the motherboard.

The integrated mounting screws are engineered with a hard-stop design, meaning the block is perfectly mounted and tensioned once the screws reach the end of the thread. This removes the risks of over-torquing the water block and potentially damaging your motherboard and/or CPU.

The cold plate is manufactured from the highest-grade, 99.99% pure electrolytic copper that is precisely machined to achieve the best possible contact and heat transfer. The copper is then subsequently nickel-plated.

EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB - 1700 White Edition
This white-themed water block features a white standout piece, a nickel-plated copper base, and a see-through cast acrylic top. It is made for Intel LGA 1700 socket that houses Intel's 12th and 13th gen Core CPUs. Embedded in the Velocity² is EK's next-generation socket-specific CPU water block cooling engine. A combination of mounting pressure and cold plate geometry, tailored for the IHS and die layout of Intel LGA 1700 socket processors, achieves low hydraulic flow restriction and high performance.

EK-Quantum Velocity² was redesigned inside and out. The EK-ExactMount mounting system was developed in search of an easy-to-use but aesthetically pleasing mounting mechanism. It comprises only three pieces - the backplate, mounting screws, and the water block itself. It's screwed in from the back, allowing for seamless and clean front aesthetics without any screws disrupting the harmony of shape. The system uses pre-tensioned springs concealed in the water block top, enabling users to get the exact mounting pressure and finish the installation with just a few turns of the thumb nuts.

EK-Quantum Vector² Strix/TUF RTX 4090 D-RGB - White Edition
Meet the White Edition of the EK-Quantum Vector² GPU water blocks for the ROG Strix and ASUS TUF RTX 4090 GPUs. The product features an all-new white terminal and a white standout piece.

The Vector² water blocks effortlessly solve the issue of excessive heat generation during high load on the GPU core, voltage regulation module, and the GDDR6X VRAM of the ROG Strix and ASUS TUF RTX 4090 Graphic cards.

The EK-Quantum Vector² Strix/TUF RTX 4090 D-RGB - White Edition GPU water block + backplate set is compatible with:
  • ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090
  • ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090

EK-Matrix7
The EK-Quantum Velocity² and EK-Quantum Vector² are EK-Matrix7 certified products. The EK-Matrix7 is a convenient product raster that adds a new dimension to PC liquid cooling, wherein the product's height and port distance are managed in increments of 7mm. This improves product alignment and reduces the time spent planning the loop and bending tubes. Through meticulous planning and careful design of our products, building a liquid-cooled PC becomes easy and fun, just like playing with toy bricks.

D-RGB Compatibility
EK-Quantum White Edition water blocks are compatible with all popular addressable RGB sync technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. The arrow marking on the 3-pin D-RGB LED connector is aligned with the +5V marking on the addressable RGB header.

Availability and Pricing
The White Edition Quantum Line water blocks are made in Slovenia, Europe, and are available for pre-order through the EK Webshop and the Partner Reseller Network.

The Velocity² White Edition CPU blocks are expected to start shipping in late May 2023, while the White Edition Vector² is expected to ship out in late June 2023.

The table below shows the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) with VAT included.

Dear EK - Your pricing is completely insane! 265€ for a RTX 4090 fullcover, where other manufacturers ask the same for a whole AiO (block+backplate+pump and a 360 radiator with 3 fans).
