NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU Available for Below MSRP in Germany

Two years and a half into its storied career, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU has finally dropped below MSRP in one European territory. German customers will be stoked to jump on e-tailer CaseKing's new offer - ZOTAC's Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge LHR graphics card is currently available for 449 EUR (not counting additional fees), so a saving of 50 Euros from the recommended retail price (499 EUR/$499). 3DCenter seems to be the first hardware news outlet to report on an RTX 3070 GPU dropping under RRP. The RTX 3070 and 3060 Ti models have been best sellers for NVIDIA (and board partners) since late 2020, yet buyers have long complained about unreasonable asking prices, and semi-generous discounts have been very late in arriving - just in time for the succeeding model.

3DCenter has created an overview of the graphics card market in Germany and Austria, and its findings for May 2023 indicate a trend where: "GPU prices in Euros have consistently dropped by ~10% since the end of January, in single cases up to 20%." The overview places the RTX 3070 8 GB in a price bracket position between AMD's Radeon RX 6750XT 12 GB and RX 6800 16 GB (non-XT) SKUs, which brings recent marketing strategies to mind - Team Red thinks that their cards offer the buyer more VRAM for their money when cross examined with the competition.

Yeah, 3 years ago $500 wasn't so bad but the 8GB on this badboy makes it at best entry level in 2023.

Im so glad I got my 6750xt for $369 six months ago. It has near 3070 performance for so much less money. I do not miss Nvidia.

Don't forget 50% more vram so it doesn't choke on textures even at 1080p in some games.

I must say, I take comfort the already second-hand card I bought continues to hold it's value.

At this rate I may still be able to upgrade and not lose a penny, not that current games seem to be worth upgrading for.

Yea. Over the years, a lot of Nvidia Greenies have been sniffing "the" glue and drinking "the" Kool Aid that made all of this insanity possible. I have a few games that get as high as 11gb at 1080p. It does matter. I don't even play a lot AAA games. Yet Nvidia will out sell AMD 4 to 1. Gamers are gullible.

The taking USD vs EUR alone should drop all the tech prices in Europe. After all, nvidia increased the prices for us because of the USD getting stronger in 2022.

I can't help it but I get angry every time I see a pricing article about GPU's. Card pricing has basically been a scam in recent years and it's only getting worse.

Ok so forget about the price for a second if you're buying this card to play modern AAA games now and in the future you're going to be disappointed.
I know you see some YouTubers saying it's unrealistic to expect to be able to run games with this card without turning down settings but it costs 450.00 that's a console right there I know where I'd be spending my money. If this pricing madness continues I worry about the future of PC gaming for the masses.

Who cares? MSRP is the new scalping price reference.

There's no investment. Their margin is just wasted money for the buyer. Nvidia has shown being ready to abandon gamers any time.

Well I bought mine 2nd hand in june 2022 : inno 3d it's basically a FE (new with bill from february 2022) at 350€ and got a waterblock at 60€ new
