AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 7800 XT has made an appearance online, having been tested in Geekbench. The entire system appears to be some kind of internal test system at AMD, as it's listed as "Advanced Micro Devices X670_E7" on Geekbench. The system consists of an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU paired with what should be 64 GB of RAM and oddly enough running Debian Linux. It's also entirely possible that this is a fake submission, which makes somewhat sense considering the weak performance. The Radeon RX 7800 XT was tested using the Vulkan test in Geekbench and you can find the numbers below.

Overall, the card scored 113,819 points in the Vulkan test, which is close to what an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT scores on an older Ryzen 7 5700X system with 32 GB of RAM, so not too much should be read into the performance figures here. However, this gives us the first indication that AMD is readying its RX 7800 XT GPUs—assuming it's a real submission—which may or may not be announced at Computex later this month. However, there have been rumours that the RX 7800 XT has been pushed back, with the lower-end cards launching first, but we don't have long until we find out at least.

I believe the 7800XT is real. I think AMD wants to try to keep the price of the 6800XT above $500 US for as long as possible. With the coming 7600XT purportedly faster than the 6750XT I expect a 7800XT to be faster than the 6900XT. That is not a far bar but it should be enough. As I said before this is good though because it will put pressure on the 6000 series cards in terms of pricing. The 6600 is down to $300 Canadian for some models but we need the 6700XT to go to $399 or even better $349. I almost built a PC using a 7600, 16GB of DDR5 and an A620 board for $499 (Plus a copy of Jedi Survivor). If I had gone AM4 it would have been $450 (No Jedi Survivor but COH3) with B550 but we need the $200-300 segment to get refilled for GPUs so you can build a PC for around $800 that is compelling. 1650,4050,6500XT,6400XT,1060,1030 and 3050 are ok but not good examples. Remember when the RX 570/580 was like $149 for 4GB and $199 for 8GB?

I honestly don't know, but considering the card is expected to be announced in less than a month, the submission might be real, but it's hard to say either way.
That said, the RX 7800 XT is most likely very real. I would be weird to havea 7900 and a 7700 card, but no 7800 card in the stack.

I would assume it should be somewhere between 145k (6800XT) and 166k (6950XT), shouldn't be that low. Maybe it's just an early testing with a prototype.

If you're curious, here are other card's Vulkan scores for some perspective:

If 7600xt will not be faster than 6750xt and 7800 XT faster than 4070ti it's very bad for amd

Having seen the specs of the mainstream unreleased RX 7000 series, i'm having a serious hunch to go after a second hand 6700XT or 6800XT, because the new chips are pretty skimpy silicon wise, same node, new architecture, less resources (less cache, less memory bandwidth, less cu's but dual issue cu's). I don't believe AMD will get same or more performance with 50% less silicon and 30% less bandwidth and 15% less power.

The 7600 XT is unlikely to be faster than the 6750 XT with 32 CUs vs 40 CUs and only slightly higher clock speeds. Similarly, the 7800 XT is unlikely to be even as fast as the 4070 Ti. The 7900 XT is faster than the 4070 Ti, but given the rumoured size of the 7800 XT (60 CUs), it's unlikely to be more than 10% faster than the 4070.

Not a chance in hell 7800XT is faster than 4070 Ti, but it will be faster than 4070 and about the same price. 7600XT will bring little to the table as it's 8GB on 128 bit bus. 6750XT other than higher power draw is better choice IMO. It will be faster and has 12GB. Only thing that can save the 7600XT is price of no more than $300 and same applies to the garbage 4060.
