Emm

Emm, are you sure about comparison, source? Somehow I do remember like this.

6800 = 3070
6800 xt = 3080

my 6800 xt oc'd matches a 4070 ti in some games, which i find impressive.
What Everyone wants is an ultrabook with AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix

this is what i want. $599 is my max price though im willing to pay, maybe 14" form factor... maybe i will get lucky.

How about firing up your marketing spirits for that midrange RDNA3 instead, hm?
I think they are hoping folks will soak up more RDNA2 stock before they move on.

I’m not seeing any 3070s at $400. MSRP is $500. Newegg has pricing on the cheapest models for both the 6800 and 3070 around $470.
Cheapest 3070 here in germany is 449€ and cheapest 6800 499€.
6750XT is 429€, 3070Ti is 519€. And 6800XT which is ~589€ has now one discounted model for 539€...
Choose the one you want to compare.. :D

I like the way in their comparison they mention 8GB v 16GB but also feel the need to tell us that makes it 2x the memory  I'm pretty certain that most people who can understand their graph can also deduct the 16 is 2x 8.

lol they really need to put someone else on the marketing
This one is so lame.
Idk, judging by how quickly all threads about video cards derail into "Nvidia scams us on VRAM" these days, I would say their marketing does a fantastic job.

AMD marketing is something else - it starts to push for 16GB and ridicule competitors with 8GB - right in time when about to release its 7xxx with 8GB :kookoo:
Nobody is gonna be playing above 1080p on that 7600x.

AMD advertises dinosaurs after mocking gamers in 2020 and 2021. Now they love them. Millions of mining video cards have flooded the second-hand market and they don't know how to get rid of stocks. They would have postponed the launch of the 7000 series, but nVidia is not waiting for them.
Until the red fans get inflamed, I want to point out that AMD does not sell cheap for our sake, but because their stocks are full of expired products. The warranty of a video card expires when the next series is released.

Strange how they "praise" 6800 and say nothing about 7800. Why from 7900 directly to 7600? How many millions of 6800 lie in stocks, unsold?

I don't think that is correct. I f you buy a new card then you get the full warranty period, whatever that is, from the date of purchase.

I did not intend to talk about the commercial guarantee. Try in a metaphorical sense.

If you ultra cherry pick and at twice the power consumption level, yeah I can make the same claim with my 3090. I don't think that's a merit or an unprecedented thing, though.

twice the power is a bit much, I use about 290 watts in a in-demand game like God of War oc'd. that's not double a 4070 ti in wattage, no way. i also have yet to see any of these 500w spikes people talk about, when I click max section in gpu-z, i never seen past 320w my entire time using this card.

Are you running 4K? That really hikes power usage. And you'd be comparing worst case scenario power on the 4070 Ti X average use power on the 6800 XT, so there's that

unless those are the top 32 playable\currently selling games at steam or something like that- which I doubted.
one DRM/game selling platform doesn't equal all gamers.

Don't omit the important part. It uses more power and is slower on average and as usual hopelessly dodging the Radeon's weaknesses to make it look better than it actually is.

Couple RT + overclocking the ever-loving crap out of it with MPT to make up for that 20% average deficiency in W1zz's test suite you're at twice the power of a average 4070 Ti already.

Don't omit the important part. It isn't "at twice the power consumption level" like you said and it is $300 less dollars than a 4070 Ti.

Grasping at straws. The 6800 XT just isn't in the same performance, power consumption or feature class of the 4070 Ti. None of the Navi 21 parts are and they will never be. Hardly the 7900 XT is.

I find it hilarious that when it comes down to it, you're all perfectly content in giving up all performance per watt, consumption, thermal, feature and raw performance improvements up if it means to "stick it to Ngreedia".

To even remotely match the 4070 Ti's performance at any game you have to overclock the socks off a Navi 21 and you actually need to do it with a RX 6950 XT.

Linking an aggregate score when the one you're replying to states "in some select games" is kind of missing the point.
I do agree that it's a pointless statement though.

this is what i want. $599 is my max price though im willing to pay, maybe 14" form factor... maybe i will get lucky.
In what game then? Even MWII, a notorious AMD favoured game a 6800XT is quite far away from a 4070Ti.
Typical gains are in the 10% (8.65%) range, that's not enough to catch the 4070Ti.

Agreed it isn't the same bracket as far as performance, and I never said it was. I was just pointing out the 6800 XT does NOT consume "twice the power consumption level" as you stated.

It's roughly the same power consumption as shown above (23W difference).

What thermals are you giving up? Oh my it might run up to 10C hotter. Who cares?

Ah yes the raw performance. 17% more performance for 40% higher price

For me the "features" (fake frames and shit most games don't use) just isn't worth paying a lot more money to get a little less performance. Hence I'm doing the 7900XTX instead of the 4080.

this is stock 6800 xt, mine is oc'd like a beast tri-slot. it easily gets 15 fps more than this, so its matching 6950 xt even.

Not really, the RX6800 was shown at launch against the RTX2080Ti, which is about 3070 level.

The RX6800XT was put against the 3080

Right except the only reason it wins against the 3070 is because of VRAM -- so if they compared it to the 2080TI it would probably be less impressive...

Im sure there are some youtube videos out there showing the current state of that, look it up and tell us what you find.

Well big N is objectively a shitty company, so not doing business with them is a plus yeah.
