It is time to purge the heretics! Get ready for Boltgun, a gory, rapid-fire boomer shooter blast from the past that is as nostalgic as its gameplay is fluid and modern. You will take control of a mighty Sternguard Veteran along with his faithful servo-skull and plunge headlong into the grim dark universe of Warhammer 40,000. Summoned by the Inquisition, ready your righteous arsenal, your indomitable armor and your battle-honed instincts to Scour Graia, a Forge World on the brink, overrun by Cultists, Traitors and Daemons.

Blast cultists apart with your mighty Boltgun! Smash traitors with your Charge! Shred the spawn of the Archenemy with your Chainsword! Maim and obliterate hordes of foes with your array of iconic weapons! Only in death does duty end! Unleash your wrath upon the enemies of the Imperium!

Let the hordes of Chaos know fear, when Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun releases on May 23 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Boltgun releases May 23rd, pre-order now on Steam.

Looks like it might be fun, but also gimimcky. I played a lot of Darktide with it being on GamePass. Kind of disappointing this 40K game wont be. Probably pick it up during Steam summer sale on the cheap.

What's with all these retro FPS games getting released all of a sudden? Minimum development, maximum (profit) fun, isn't it?

With that said, a W40k one is an interesting prospect, I hope it'll be good. :)

Heh, Titus was mentioned.
Honestly trailer was just full-on cringe, but the game should be fun for a mindless shooter. And it's a long way until Space Marine 2, so gotta have something else until then.

Looks a lot more interesting in the video the lighting and shading is pretty good and clearly it's going for a bit of a inspired DOS era retro future look. It would look rather sharp on a ultra high PPI portable display.

I try to pre-order but Steam doesn't let me, rejecting my CC that works otherwise. Excuse me, WTF indeed?
