Possible AMD Radeon RX 7600 Specs Leaked

Possible specifications of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics card leaked to the web. At this point we don't know if the RX 7600 maxes out the silicon it is based on (with room for a faster RX 7600 XT). The leak appears to be from marketing materials of the RX 7600. It speaks of 32 Compute Units. This works out to the same 2,048 stream processors as the previous-generation RX 6600 XT, but an increase from the 1,792 of the RX 6600. The mention of AI accelerators confirms that this GPU is based on the latest RDNA3 graphics architecture.

The other RDNA3 feature referenced is the Radiance Display Engine, which supports the latest DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1a outputs, along with 12 bpc color, and support for resolutions as high as 4K 180 Hz with a single cable. Apparently, the GPU that the RX 7600 is based on has 32 MB of Infinity Cache memory, which is the same amount as the previous-generation "Navi 23" silicon powering the RX 6600 series. For the flagship "Navi 31," the Infinity Cache memory size is generationally reduced to 96 MB (from 128 MB on "Navi 21,") because the memory bus width has generationally increased to 384-bit (from 256-bit). This could mean that the RX 7600 has a 128-bit wide memory bus, given that its Infinity Cache size is unchanged from that of the RX 6600 series.

Soooo the whole stack is going to land priced just under Nvidia's Ada with similar power efficiency and lower RT perf plus equal or slightly better raster perf and similar VRAM.

And that's that then. Maybe I should start a Youtube channel a'la MLID, this guessing game is so hard.
 
Maybe 8600 will be 6900xt (yeah, i do like to dream). I'll just pass on these generationa from both traktoristas.
 
It's looking like the 7600, 7500, 7400 will be increasingly chopped-down variants of Navi33 which AMD confirmed would be the smallest discreet RDNA3 die they make, IGPs now being sufficient to cover the lowest end of the graphics market.

This does bode well for the 7600XT (if it exists) having 12GB VRAM, given that 8GB really isn't suitable for 1440p in 2023. The downside is that Navi32 isn't due to release until the Autumn.

12gb ist unlikely unless they use another N3x or change the bus speed. There are rumors about it, but I would simply double the vram to 16 on the xt.

Navi33 is monolithic, we're looking at almost a drop-in replacement for the silicon on existing 6600-series cards, but with the benefit of TSMC's 6nm efficiency for better perf/Watt.

Based on laptop comparisons of equivalent-tier Navi33 vs Navi23 (7600M vs 6600M) we're looking at 15% higher clocks AND 15% lower power draw so we should see RX 6700 performance for the power draw and approximate cost of an RX 6600.

I know it's not a huge leap in performance, but it's a non-trivial bump in both performance/Watt and performance/$, which have always been more important metrics for the lower end of the market where people have limited PSUs, limited cooling, and limited money.

Anything is possible, hopefully we'll get more info when the RX 7600 launches on the 25th.

I think an XT as a 16GB sub-$350 card would be very welcome, if they do simply double the VRAM on the 7600. It would hurt performance/$ a bit but it would still be about as potent as a PS5's GPU and be future-proofed against VRAM issues for at least as long as the current gen consoles are supported.

Desktop RX6700 non-XT? That thing already had great power consumption and at times was cheaper than a lot of the 6650XTs. That card was a hidden gem, most of the reviews I found were on "small" YouTube channels since not a lot of top tech sites reviewed them.
So if this is just matching the 6700 non-xt while offering less VRAM and narrower bus it should definitely cost less than 300€
 
The price of memory chips has been falling and at a great pace for over 12 months now. I wonder if the paltry 8GB isn't already being given away instead of being sold? But surely still, they still want $3-4 per 2GB chip, so the set of 4 chips contributes $12-16 to the BOM, on the rx 7600 and all new 8GB VRAM graphics cards in general?

But surely still, they still want $3-4 per 2GB chip, so the 4-chipset contributes $12-16 to the BOM, on the rx 7600 and all new 8GB VRAM graphics cards in general?

"Breaking tech news! AMD's top-end cards are going to be really good, the midrange ones are going to be sorta good, and the budget options are only going to be be kinda good. Power usage supposedly pretty alright and launch pricing estimated to be a bit above what we we'd like to see."

I don't think there's any chance they're doing a 16GB 7600 XT. They had a pretty sane VRAM progression for last gen with cards at 8, 10, 12, and 16 GB. Nvidia is doing a 16GB 4060 Ti but that's seemingly going to be in an entirely different price bracket as this and would be competing with an AMD card further up the stack.
