MINISFORUM has introduced its latest products, the UM790Pro and UM780Pro. These new mini-PCs are based on the AMD Ryzen 7040HS series and an all-new Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system, showcasing MINISFORUM's dedication to innovation and research in the field of mini-PCs. The UM790Pro packs the AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor, while the UM780Pro features the Ryzen 7 7840HS processor, running at maximum speeds of 5.2 GHz and 5.1 GHz respectively. The powerful 12-core integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics can deliver performance comparable to dedicated graphics cards at a fraction of the cost.

Unlike previous products, UM790Pro/UM780Pro uses a brand new cooling system for better heat dissipation. Except the liquid-cooled processors, active memory and hard disk drive coolers are also provided. Besides, the UM790Pro/UM780Pro features Killer Series wireless network card that optimizes network configuration, reducing latency and ensuring smooth gameplay. According to the gaming tests, the performance is around 109 FPS in Player Unknown's Battlegrounds, 180 FPS in League of Legends and a stable 60 FPS in Honkai: Star Rail.

As for appearance, connectivity, and expandability, both computers have a metal chassis and share the same set of ports, including four USB-A ports, two HDMI ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and two full-speed PD-powered USB4 ports (supporting RAID0 and RAID1 arrays) for flexible and scalable high-resolution and refresh-rate display options. The UM790Pro/UM780Pro supports dual-channel DDR5-5600 high-frequency memory, and dual PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD.

In addition to the UM790Pro and UM780Pro announced today, Minisforum will be releasing the next upcoming Mercury Series models soon- a new generation of 1/4-liter ultra-mini PC with AMD Ryzen 7 7840U variants options.

Gosh, that's one of the most appealing mini-PCs to date. Would be quite at home as an entertainment room box to play classic games.

There are no datails for video bandwidth.
Is it HDMI 2.1 FRL ports that can output beyond old HDMI 2.0b 18 Gbps? This would be necessary for 4K/60 10-bit RGB display.
Is it DP 2.1 over USB4 port that can output 40 Gbps rather than older DP 1.4a?

Is the HDMI port a full HDMI 2.1a / 48 Gbit/s?
It is what you have to put an AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix= DDR5 + RDNA 3 + USB 4.0 + HDMI 2.1 + AI with XDNA architecture developed by Xilinx and everything at 4nm vs 10nm from Intel.
This processor, which is in all gamer consoles and very soon in a 2.2lb ultrabook, has exceeded all expectations, surpassing Intel in productivity, efficiency, and price.

"liquid-cooled processors"? How's that work on a small setup like this? Is it referring to liquid metal as thermal conductor? I wonder if there's a deep dive into this"Cold Wave 2.0 cooling system"... Could be interesting

He's copy/pasted the same irrelevant off-topic rant in a half dozen different threads. Maybe works for one of the companies mentioned in the rant?
