To view this case mod, go here.

Specs:
Asus P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi-AP, Intel E6850, COOLER MASTER Hyper TX2 CPU Cooler, 2GB G-Skill DDR2 800 Memory, 2 Geforce 6600GT, 2 Seagate Sata2 500Gb HDD Raid 0, LG 20x Burner Black, Rosewill 850Watt Power Supply, XCLIO A380BK Full Tower Case.UPGRADED: Mobo> Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i. Mem> 2GB OCZ 1066 SLI-Ready Black Sinks. SLI> BFG GeForce 8800GTX OC2E 626MHz Core Clock. F Panel> Aerocool Powerwatch & Logisys 3.25 Digital Thermal Controller. And better Wire Management.

Mods:
Case was taken apart and the front and back 120mm fan holes were cut out and u-channel was used, 2 120mm Cooler Master blue Led fans were added,The back fan grill was painted black, Top USB & Firewire panel was painted black & sleeved Black, Case was painted high gloss black inside & out then baked at 360 degrees. The front bezel & sides were left Flat black. Oh & a blue led light bar was added to the top of the case for a nice light show in the dark.

I built this system for a friend, the video cards will be replaced later, It was a nice project that lasted about a week because of the paint job. but in the end it really turned out nice. Thanks for looking. Upgrade was pretty much building the whole computer again, the only thing that I did'nt change was the hard drives and burner. But in the end WOW very fast

Nice mod all in all clearly one person here who knows a case mod is doing something to the C.A.S.E not shed loads of hardware and a standard box. So well done sir. HOWEVER i would like to see the person who voted 3 come back and justify it.

Nice one there, did you remove that awful metal plates at the front of that 25cm fan ?, i noticed when i did my build there was a HUGE restriction there. I got the same case as you, great case and got loads of space to mod. I added water cooling to my build, please of room for it i will say. Like the looks of what you done. Nice job :)

Thanks for the great comments, Ive been modding cases for a long time and as I get better tools I can do better mods, and also I agree you don't need the best parts money can buy to have a strong stable system, but then again the system will last longer without upgrade if you put the best in, I did cut out some of that front plate but not all of it, just enough for the 120mm fan to flow free. Also if you get a chance please check out my worklog in the Forums under project logs, It's going to be the biggest mod I have done and hopefully lead me on the path to do even bigger ones.

8/10 have much potential but the cables are a mess try to fix the cable management its a great system and need it see and vote in my case ;) http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/1034.html

bye ;)

I waned to spend more time on the cable management, but the owner wanted to get it home and play on it, and with the side panel on it hides a lot of the mess at the bottom, thats really the only place it's a little messy, So I said ok take it home and enjoy. Cant blame him I would like to take it home to. It's a nice looking system.

Did you do the paint job yourself?
If so how did you get such a clean even glossy finish and baked 360 degrees?

Yes I did the paint myself,, I have a air compressor and spray gun in the garage, the case shell was sprayed black with clear coat, and the panels were sprayed black and also clear coated, for smaller jobs I just use my oven at home, LOL, But on this one I took it to a local body shop. they baked it for me.then I waited a few day and wet sanded, polished then buffed with wax. it was a long process.

I was looking at your case and see that u used Rust-Oleum brand paint,, before I got a spray gun, I used a lot of brands and well I hate rust-Oleum paint. it's really hard to get a nice paint job from it. I painted my daughters case one time and I swear It was hell, I repainted it 4 time. If you want a shine out of a spray can go get some acrylic paint with matching Clear Coat, After the clear coat wait about 10 min for it to dry then put it in the oven at 360 Degrees and watch it close because when you see the paint start to look like its melting with a wet shine, take it out, and when it dry it will still have that wet shine that will make you shine. try it on a junk case panel or something else, but no plastic. if you like it have fun with it.
