ASUS today announced the all-new 14-inch, 16:10 Chromebook CM34 Flip, delivering an exquisite blend of powerful performance and versatility to empower both work and study. This stylish laptop features up to an AMD Ryzen 5 7520C processor, and WiFi 6 and a long-lasting battery, so it's well-equipped to breeze through everyday tasks anywhere.

The versatile 360° ErgoLift hinge means Chromebook CM34 Flip has the flexibility to function in a diverse array of modes, while the optional garaged stylus enables intuitive input to jot down notes or capture ideas. To top it all off, military-grade durability, one-touch fingerprint unlock and a physical webcam shutter for instant privacy offer peace of mind—at home, in the office or classroom, or exploring the world.

Power and stamina, paired
At the heart of ASUS Chromebook CM34 Flip is a powerful AMD Ryzen 5 7520C processor and 16 GB of memory, so it's primed to deliver the performance and responsiveness needed to empower users with incredible productivity. The built-in 512 GB SSD provides plenty storage and superfast access to personal files and folders.

"We're thrilled to partner with ASUS to provide the Ryzen 7020 C-Series processors that power durable and multipurpose devices like the ASUS Chromebook CM34 Flip," says Jason Banta, corporate vice president and general manager, Client OEM at AMD. "We're excited to see the power and efficiency of Ryzen powered ChromeOS devices in the classroom, in the office, and in the hands of frontline workers"

CM34 Flip also benefits from the ultrafast WiFi 6 technology to ensure stable signals and superfast speeds that will load online content in the blink of an eye. This top-notch connectivity is boosted still further by exclusive ASUS technologies, such as ASUS WiFi Master for ChromeOS, ensuring greater speed, stability and range, and helping users to stay connected anywhere, fast.

With the amazing 13-hour battery life from a single charge, traveling, learning and working without a charger isn't a big deal—and CM34 Flip has the stamina to last for a full workday and beyond.

Standout style and immersion
ASUS Chromebook CM34 Flip is finished in eye-catching Zinc to match perfectly with its incredible style and design, delivering a warm and confident vibe. The three-sided, 14-inch NanoEdge display maximizes screen area, and a 16:10 aspect ratio provides a boost in vertical space compared with 16:9 panels, making viewing experiences more immersive. This screen also offers wide viewing angles, ensuring the image stays sharp for users, no matter how much they move their head.

CM34 Flip is also kitted out with a pair of Harman Kardon-certified stereo speakers, so audio output is crisp, clear and immersive.

Versatile, ergonomic design
ASUS Chromebook CM34 Flip's 360° ErgoLift hinge, full-size backlit keyboard and optional stylus also enhance everyday productivity, comfort and convenience.

The innovative hinge and touchscreen display allows CM34 Flip to be used in tablet, laptop, tent or stand mode—so it's ideal for browsing websites, completing tasks and sharing content easily with friends and colleagues.

The full‑sized backlit keyboard offers 1.4 mm key travel for more typing experiences that feel natural, responsive and comfortable. The inclusion of a backlight means users can type effortlessly in dark environments, from dimly-lit cafes to aircraft cabins. CM34 Flip also includes an expansive, 5.55-inch touchpad that's optimized to enable smoother, more responsive fingertip control.

The stylus, optionally available with CM34 Flip, quickly and automatically charges when garaged, keeping it ready for use and providing a safe place to store it—and always ready to capture notes, annotations or moments of inspiration.

Military strength and enterprise-grade security
With structural reinforcements to boost chassis strength, ASUS Chromebook CM34 Flip is built to provide toughness for everyday use. It also meets exacting US MIL-STD 810H durability standards, which are more rigorous and demanding than ever before.

The keyboard, touchpad and palm rest of CM34 Flip are protected by ASUS Antimicrobial Guard, helping to keep the laptop hygienic and the user safer. It also packs in biometric security that makes it safe, speedy and simple to unlock the laptop—just a quick scan over the integrated fingerprint sensor does the job.

An FHD webcam ensures high-quality visuals for video conferencing. When not in use, the webcam can be easily hidden behind a retractable cover that's designed for privacy. The user can simply slide it open when the camera is needed, and flick with a finger when finished for an assurance of instant privacy.

CM34 Flip also includes a Kensington lock slot to enable physical security where required.

The best of ChromeOS
ASUS Chromebook CM34 Flip offers out-of-the-box access to Google Play, replete with its rich library of apps, games, music, movies, TV, books and more—opening a whole new world of freedom.

CM34 Flip also empowers uninterrupted automatic updates and means it benefits from built-in virus protection, seamlessly keeping itself safe, secure and always up to date. It's also built around the rock-solid security of a personal Google Account, so all the user's private documents, emails, photos and confidential data are kept safe at all times.

Each purchase of a CM34 Flip carries an offer to redeem a 12-month Google One subscription. The membership includes 100 GB of cloud storage to use across Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos, plus many other benefits—all in one shareable family plan.

Asus why don't you launch laptops with AMD Zen 4 7040 Phoenix when they were already announced more than 1 month ago. You have the best processor built with minimal energy consumption and little heating together with the RDNA 3 iGPU for which no dedicated graphics is needed and we still do not see any ultrabook with Zen 4 Phoenix and even more so when professional forums indicate that Zen 4 is ultrabook performs more than intel. ??? Why don't ultrabooks come out with AMD ZEN 4 Phoenix?

+1 But if I were an OEM I would already be warming up to attract the general public and then I would show my exclusives and news.
Gamer consoles with Z1 are already kicking out and have the same core as AMD Zen 4 Phoenix and gamers are very happy because they have as much power as a PSP5 but in their hand.
We will see what Computex has in store for us and what news it brings to the general public

Asus normally announces most of their new notebook products at Computex though.

Unlike desktops these have an expiry date slapped on them from the day they are launched and with locked bootloaders its going to be very difficult to install OS of users choice post expiry making these essentially ewaste.

can you please explain what you mean by expiry date? i was under the impression that a chromebook runs on easy hardware, if all my parents do is browse the web with chrome, chromeOS is fine for them. so I am not sure what you mean by these would become ewaste?

What happens when a Chromebook reaches its AUE?

Currently, once your AUE date arrives, the Chromebook will no longer receive software updates from Google. These include security updates, bug fixes and new features. And without those updates, things like apps and browser extensions might no longer function properly. So while you can still use a Chromebook past its AUE date, its usefulness will deteriorate.
