$200(best case scenario)-$250(worst one) is the price bracket into which that GPU would have decent vfm and sell well imho. Over that bracker it will fail and AMD will lower its price soon, so it will be stupid of them to not launch it as suggested from day one.
It needs to be $250 or less. An RX 6700 sells for $280 and that has 10GB of memory.

10GB 6700XT XFX is $270 shipped on Amazon right now. I’m not sure why anyone would want to buy this for $30 more instead.
I have to agree on this. The RX6600 can be had for 199.99$ and the RX6650 for 249.99$, with the RX6700 sitting at 20.00$ more.

For the RX7600 to sell, it has to be priced around 200.00-225.00$ and the RX7600 XT around 300.00 to 325.00$ if it will have 10 to 12Gb of VRAM, or they will not sell like the newer cards are now. You can get a RX6750 XT for 379.99$ with 12Gb of VRAM, so at 299.99$ for a slower card WITH ONLY 8Gb of VRAM, it will be a hard pass for most people.

What do you mean by RX 7600 XT, as far as we know RX 7600 is the fully enabled die.

Quite disappointing performance, TBH, if the leak proves true. Those scores are in the range of an oc'd RX6600XT, with slight improvement in RT:

Why worry so much about the 7600? This isn't the XT variant, it was never meant to be a power house. XT version will be noticeably stronger. For less than $300 you can get a 10GB 6700 (non XT) which is much stronger than 7600. The only reason 7600 should exist is to bring a small, efficient and decently performing 1080p card to the market under $250 IMO.

RX 6700 is ~10% faster than a 6600XT, which is pretty much in line with RX 7600 performance.

Because last minute 7600 XT dropped the XT and became 7600. Next in line is 7700 XT 192 bit and that comes at a price. it's probably 300 and 400. there is no XT in-between.

Cute little thing. I like how it's similar designed to the big brother but shrinked down.

Not a bad looking card at all. Granted, I don't put too much thought into how they look since you typically don't see much other than the very top after they're installed in most cases. If you're sans vertical mounting solution anyway, which I have done with my last two cards. Not because I really wanted to look at them, but because they were both so bloody expensive I thought I may as well make them the centerpiece of my build. They also seem to run a touch cooler while on the vertical mount, though I never even attempted to collect any data to prove that feeling. So any perceived cooling effect may very well be all in my head. But it is nice to see reference cards have meved beyond the old screaming blower bricks.

I doubt the 6700 10GB will be around for long. It was already a much rarer model in North Europe, I believe only three manufacturers even bothered to make it and only a single SKU each. Of those, the Powercolor one is cheap and noisy, the XFX one is huge. I ended up playing with the Sapphire which was great, but it's rarity even hurt resale value because after 3 weeks on ebay at the same price as a 6650XT (an inferior card in every way) I let it go for £25 less than my already low expectations.

Unlike the hundreds of 6700XT/6750XT SKUs across the entire spectrum of manufacturers, limited quantities of just three SKUs (one of which isn't great) is probably why many people don't even know it exists.

Actually despite the article's disdain for it, I really like this design. It's a mini XTX, which I find really cute.

You can confirm that from the tiiiiiiiny amount of reviews. Iceberg Tech probably did it the most justice by calling "The PS5's GPU", but otherwise, 90% of people don't even know that a 6700 non-XT exists. Heck, in this very thread someone got confused and talked about a "6700 xt 10GiB" which doesn't exist.

What? The XT is releasing at later date. The specs of the XT are already leaked out at least core counts.

Whar core count is the XT?
Nobody knows, outside of AMD.

The regular RX 7600 appears to be fully-enabled Navi33 silicon, so there's no room for an XT with a higher core count on Navi33. It's possible the XT will be the same 2048 shaders with an overclock and double the VRAM - but this is just speculation at the moment.

Navi32 was delayed apparently, and they will likely carve the 7800 and 7700-series out of it - so I'm not sure there will be a 7600XT too - five different configurations of the same die seems quite unlikely for AMD, they only had two for (desktop) Navi22 in the 6000-series.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
That's why I asked him, since he claims they were leaked.
Likely just confusion over the name, since the 7600 is cast-iron confirmed now on everything except launch price MSRP. Reviewers have the samples, benchmark leaks are popping up all over the place, and we've seen multiple vendors announce and publish models and specs ahead of Thursday's official launch.

The 7600XT results all over the web are just inaccurate rumour-mill misreporting the RX7600 we now know to be officially launching on Thursday. Navi32 is apparently 60CU (so 3840 shader cores), confirmed by a leak from AMD themselves via AMD's own ROCm development team. 60CU seems far too big to be used for the 7600XT. Knocking it down to 45CU and 192-bit still makes it 41% faster than the RX7600 which is a huge performance (and price) gap. I suspect the harvested part with 42-45CU@192bit w/12GB VRAM is eventually going to be the 7700-series and the 56-60CU@256bit w/16GB VRAM will be the 7800-series.

Bear in mind that Navi32's original released date was supposed to be Q3 2023 and in an interview with AMD's Sam Naffziger (the chiplet guy)* He mentioned to Steve Burke of GN that Navi31's chiplets weren't stable at the clockspeeds AMD originally intended, so they were forced to downclock the 7900XT and 7900XTX. Direct from AMD's chief RDNA3 chiplet engineer, is confirmation that they are delaying Navi32 to fix those issues in hardware, because they couldn't fix it in software for Navi31.

That means that Navi32's is extremely unlikely to make its original Q3 2023 launch date, so we're more likely expecting no new RDNA3 launches faster than the RX 7600 until Christmas.

* edit - might have actually been a different GN inteview with Mike Mantor from RTG instead, but it was one of those November 2022 7900XTX launch coverage videos.

A likely story, and it would make sense considering the stance they took on "Nvidia isn't giving enough VRAM" (which is true).
A 7600 xt with 16 Go would really be a damn good budget deal.

You're not wrong. I went ahead and bought one accordingly. A 6600 at $200 would have been better value, but a 6700 at $280 seemed sufficently ok value for my tired brain cells. I'm coming from Kepler (yeah) and will most likely use this until it's as irrelveant as my Kelper.
Heck, in this very thread someone got confused and talked about a "6700 xt 10GiB" which doesn't exist.
That was a brainfart on my part when I posted. Working an unhealthy number of hours at the moment.
