Furthermore, the PG27QF2A IPS gaming monitor, designed with mainstream specifications, offers 2K QHD resolution with 165 Hz high refresh rate. It featured a brand-new Phantom Gaming design and inherits the exclusive built-in Wi-Fi antenna, ensuring stable Wi-Fi reception on PCs and resolving latency and lag issues for online gaming.

Lastly, ASRock plans to launch the A27FE and A24FE models in the second half of the year. These entry-level monitors are equipped with FHD IPS panels, 100 Hz refresh rate, and support for AMD FreeSync technology, which effectively eliminates the screen tearing and stuttering. I would hazard a very educated guess that at least some of the new displays will use AUO panels.

The fact that we are seeing updated z790 motherboards from MSI and Asrock probably means that Intel intends to expand the lifespan of that platform by a good bit. Wifi 7 was supposed to be a z890 novelty, according the older leaks.

Yea it's lifespan may be extended in that there won't be new Intel desktop consumer processors (on a new socket) for another year, but I haven't seen anything that points to the next generation being on LGA1700.

What's up with the trend of 27" spindly monitor legs that take up the entire length of desk that the monitor sits on? Monitor legs on 27" 16:9 monitors do not need to span almost the entire length of the monitor. They have the illusion of not taking up as much space because they're skinny, but in reality they take up much more space than just a standard square block.

A fine example of a simple stand not taking up much space: TUF Gaming VG27VQMY
Alternatively, look how much actual desk space this monitor takes up: ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM

I am curious about the B650E Taichi lite.

What are they cutting out of the board and how much is it like to come down.

The current board is nicely loaded with features (everything but 10gig ethernet almost) but it's firmly in X670E territory and my local pricing has it 30% above Rog Strix B650E which is considered a premium board as is (despite Asus's issues this month with bios, warranty and RMA's) and a similar amount above the X670E Tuf gaming.

This is for what (best I can tell) amounts to a few more usb ports, usb4, excellent VRM. Does it really deserve to command such a premium over the other boards.

Here's to hoping the lite board will be solid offering.

Meteor Lake is said to be on 1851 same as Arrow Lake. Raptor Lake R is coming in late Q3 IIRC so socket 1700 will last until Arrow Lake comes out on desktop.

It seems to have become a "cool" industry norm for gamur gear...
That's why I got an Acer Nitro, as they still have normal stands.
I'm in fully agreement here that these stupid stands are utterly crap.

Not just gaming, LG does that on a lot of their UltraFine display as well (included the two professional OLED)

Neat, I was wondering where the 7000 series deskmeet was. Guess it's upcoming. I'll be eyeing it.
