Schenker XMG has announced its new APEX-series laptops at Computex 2023 show which bring significant upgrades compared to the CORE-series, including a completely new cooling system and AMD's Phoenix platform with Ryzen 7 7735HS processor.
Both the APEX 17 and the APEX 15 feature a 144 Hz, 300-nits IPS screen with 1920x1080 resolution, and feature NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPUs, up to the 140 W mobile GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB. As noted, the APEX series will start off with the Zen 3 AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS SKU, an 8-core/16-thread CPU and RDNA 2-based Radeon 680M iGPU. XPG plans to introduce a Zen 4-based version at a later date, which will most likely be based on AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS SKU, and also receive more screen options and faster memory speeds. The rest of the specifications for both new APEX-series laptops include two DDR5 slots with support for DDR5-4800 memory, and two SSDs. According to XMG, the APEX series will be available later in June, starting at €1,399 for the APEX 15 with GeForce RTX 4060, while the APEX 17 will start at €1,299 with GeForce RTX 4050, and €1,457 for the SKU with GeForce RTX 4060.
