EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today announced the release of the FlexScan S2134 - a 21.3-inch square monitor with a 1600 x 1200 native resolution for back offices and control rooms. The S2134 is the successor to the 21.3-inch square monitor S2133 with brightness of 500 cd/m², up from 420 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 1800:1, up from 1500:1. This enables clear visibility under daylight conditions or in brightly lit rooms.

EIZO has been supplying 21.3-inch square monitors with the same basic features such as 1600 x 1200 resolution and digital/analog input compatibility to the market since 2003. This ensures customers can rely on the lineup to suit their installation needs over the long life of their local systems.

Additional Features
  • Digital DisplayPort and DVI-D and analog D-Sub mini 15-pin video signal inputs
  • Auto EcoView automatic brightness control function and Paper Mode
  • 5-year warranty

Availability
The FlexScan S2134 will begin shipping in June. The date of availability may vary by country or region. Contact the nearest EIZO group company or distributor for details.

Looks very similar of the dell screens of yesteryear...

"Dude, you're gettin a Dell...well, sorta"

1600x1200 not square but 4:3.

LG DualUp is more square at 2560 x 2880 at 8:9.

It is a shame EIZO don't have a 3200x2400 4:3 monitor @21-23". I'd buy two of those for my workstation. I'm currently using the LG DualUp and it is too big. I want the resolution for graphics work and reading PDFs fullscreen, but at their physical size, it requires too much head movement to use. They really need to invent an A3 format screen that has 300dpi so that we get near-print quality.

Or you could just get something like 28MQ780-B with higher resolution (2560 x 2880), 16:18 aspect ratio, picture by picture, modern connection, etc.

I know EIZO is known for their quality but 2008 called and they want their monitor specs back.

Last hurrah for the thankless business monitor that will outlast basically every other appliance without missing a beat or drawing any attention to itself?

I still use one of those Dell 2004 4:3 20” monitors at work in portrait mode but it’s getting pretty dim. I like the shorter 3:4 aspect ratio than 9:16 in portrait but I’d really like a higher rez version, not another of the same.

Looks so 90s :kookoo: Are we back in 1998?
90s ? :) I had my first LCD/TFT around 2005-2006, a 17" BenQ. On a side note i wish someone would make brand new CRTs i would really want a 17" one :/
