Corrosion is not an issue?

No, they alloy it with metals that have good corrosion resistance. I've had headphones in my collection for over a decade that have magnesium headbands and I have yet to see any issue.

The adjustable sensor position is actuality a really cool feature. Don't know if I've ever seen something like that.

I don't see how a movable sensor helps... but I'm happy to be shown wrong.

Even though the price puts it a bit out of reach, this is exactly the kind of product-innovation I've been wanting-for:

I made a quick picture to illustrate why it matters:
Sensor postion influence on Mouse performance.png

As you can see in the above picture, sensor position influences the distance the sensor travels during wrist movement. The further the sensor is from the wrist, the more distance that is traveled. By extension a mouse with a sensor further from the wrist will move a larger distance on screen as distance traveled is larger. People may prefer to have their sensor at a certain distance due to them having a lot of muscle memory tuned for a specific distance. Certain sensor distances benefit certain aims styles. A person who mostly wrist aims may want a further sensor while a person who arm aims may want a closer sensor.

The Magnesium alloy, is just a fancy name for 95% aluminum and 5% magnesium.
But anything that is not made of plastic is more than welcome.

But I fell like they kind of copy this:
