UHD by definition starts at 4K as of at least or larger than 3840x2160 resolution!

It's a typo in the thread title, you beat me to it. This seems to be a 1080p FHD laser projector, and honestly a pretty cool one.

I'm a bit concerned for the longevity however, 20000 hours maintenance free is okay but if there's no bulb to replace would that mean I'd need to replace the laser emitter itself? Oof, that'd be pricy.

week day use 8hrs, 20k can last for 10 yrs. That is long enough, just replace it with a new and more powerful projector with about the same price at that time.

I understand what purpose the RS-232 port serves (remote control) but am amazed that it's still alive. HDMI has that functionality too, and USB of course. A serial port also requires a device with a serial port at the other end, which is probably a PC in most cases. Or is it common to use dedicated wired remote controllers?

You can get RS-232 to USB adapters. I'm honestly not sure why they still add it, but I think it's related to some other control as well, like triggering a projector screen automagically.

Price seems ok for the brightness and life of light source, but a 300" image at 1080 is way too big. If the point of this is to convey information, it should be at least 2160. Four 1080 screens-worth on one image will better get the message across to the recipients. Otherwise, get a cheaper 1080 for a smaller image.
