Today, Rebellion, one of the world's most successful independent video game developers and publishers, is thrilled to announce the launch of the highly anticipated Kraken Awakes, the final content pack for Season Pass Two of Sniper Elite 5. Prepare to unleash chaos against Operation Kraken and prove your sniping prowess on all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.

Intel gathered in previous missions has revealed that Operation Kraken is still a looming threat that demands your immediate action. Karl Fairburne, the legendary sniper, must utilise the cover of darkness and harness the power of shadows to sabotage an under-construction aircraft carrier, that is the new home of Operation Kraken, and ensure it never sets sail. The fate of the Allies hangs in the balance as you face off against Friedrich Vogel, former deputy to Abelard Möller and the new mastermind behind this diabolical scheme.

Prepare for an unforgettable adventure as you navigate an intricately designed military dock and unravel the mysteries hidden within the sprawling aircraft carrier. With an abundance of secrets waiting to be uncovered, take your time to gather valuable intel and gain the upper hand in your mission to save the world from impending doom.

Kraken Awakes not only delivers a gripping narrative and immersive gameplay but also introduces exciting additions to your arsenal. Immerse yourself in an all-American look for Karl with the new Patriot weapon skin and American Airborne character skin. Dominate the battlefield with the Mod.712 pistol, boasting detachable magazines and an unrivalled automatic fire rate, this is perfect for close-quarters combat.

In addition to the Kraken Awakes content pack, Rebellion is excited to release a thrilling new multiplayer map, the Abandoned Quarry. Engage in heart-pounding firefights as you explore the treacherous depths of the old mine. Seek out vantage points and hidden corners in the nearby coal processing centre, providing ideal sniping sightlines across the map. Whether you prefer the stealthy approach or all-out gunfire and action, the Abandoned Quarry offers an adrenaline-fueled experience for Snipers of all playstyles.

Lastly, as we conclude Season Pass Two, Rebellion would like to extend our gratitude to the Sniper Elite community for their unwavering support and dedication. Whether you're a long-time fan or a newcomer to Karl's world, we appreciate each and every one of you dropping into the action.

If you haven't yet experienced the thrill of Sniper Elite 5, seize the opportunity now on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC.

The Kraken Awakes DLC is available now, as part of Season Pass Two (priced £24.99/$29.99/€29.99), or as a separate purchase for £9.99/€10.99/$10.99.

I stopped playing Sniper Elite 5 some time ago, not because I didn't enjoy the game, but they can't seem to fucking fix (yeah, I'm that irritated by it) the giant downloads for their patches/updates.

Back in February they put out a skin DLC for free. It was 7GB of data you had to download for a couple of pink skins for a couple of guns. 7GB...holy crap, just for skins!

Before that they added in a multiplayer map and few skins. It was 70+GB (yes, 70+, not 7) download. The entire game itself takes up around 80-85GB of space. It's like they took a page out of Bethesda's book when they pushed out updates/patches for Fallout 76 and you had to basically redownload the entire game.

A few months back they did a patch/update and not sure entirely what else was included in it, but the game wanted to download 45GB of data.

No thanks Rebellion. I'm done with your incompetence when it comes to this. I'm not basically redownloading the entire game every time you want to put out a patch/update.

I have gone through all the missions as well as the DLC missions. An had afew glitches here an there with no real big deals. But when I finished the last DLC I found a looping glitch so to speak. I finished all the objectives an had collected all items destroyed all 3 eagles. But after blowing up the ship. It went into the exfoliate video. Then did the finish up briefing stuff. But in the audio part it said I wasn't finished. An sent me back to the start again. But this time the only objective was to destroy the ship. I completed that objective an now I'm stuck in that loop now. After the debrief it sends me back to restart destroying only the ship again. Is that how it ends having to destroy the ship over an over again. Or is it actually a glitch in my download? I did take out both target. The one in the low left section of the map in the factory building an the one on the ship as well. Not sure what else there is to do to get to the actual end an not just loop back around to destroying the ship all the time. I even went as far as to make sure that I eliminated all of the NPCs an vehicles. I did notice that there is one guard tower to the right of the gate that has a soldier on it working the spot light. But as Karl you can not get up there. As well as 2 other buildings in the game where a sniper is but after you take them out. There is no way to get up to them to search them for items. But all in all a pretty decent DLC. I have had afew soldiers disappear a few I shoot them before I could get to them to search for items. Is anyone else having the same issues too?
