ok that is the version i want then!!

Yeah in actuality if you were to emulATE THE Games to work on the PS3 like Microsoft is doing with the 360 then you would get the option to upscale it NATIVELY in High Definition, so that is one benefit to having your PS1 and PS2 games be emulated versus just having the EE inside of them.

What do you mean by natively? The 60GB upscales. If anything, the 60GB would upscale better, because the EE decodes the games, and saves the cpu/gpu power for upscaling.

But, I can't comment on the 80GB's upscaling, as I haven't seen it in person. I can comment on the 60GB, tho, and it upscales the PS1/2 games every bit as good as it upscales DVDs.

I believe he meant that the emulated games could be rendered at higher resolution, not just the output upscaled.

Kind of like playing the original Doom vs WinDoom at 1600x1200 :D

Though IIRC, in Sony's press release about the PS3's without EE, they state that they have no interest in improving the looks of older titles (besides upscaling).

It matches the quality of my old Samsung 1080p upscaling DVD player. Almost compares to a Comcast On-Demand HD movie, but not quite there.

If you want a 60gb, get it with-in this month. November coming, big on x-mas shopping, and i have a feeling that all 60gb are gonna be gone.
