As reported by Phoronix—references to GFX1150 & GFX1151 targets have been added to the AMDGPU LLVM backend/compiler, which seems to indicate that these are upcoming AMD APU models. AMD engineers have made to reference to GFX1150 as "Strix1" (full codename: Strix Point) in the past according to several sites, but the recent leak has GFX1151 mentioned for the first time.

Previous reports suggest that Team Red could be developing two Strix/Zen 5/RDNA 3.5 APUs with AI engine enhancements for laptops—a discovery of two separate GFX targets suggests that we are likely looking at different 12-core and 16-core models. The former is said to be a monolithic design with a TDP going up to 54 W. The 16-core "Strix Halo" (also known as "Starlak") is a very different type of product with leaks suggesting that it will have a maximum TDP of 120 W, and be based on a chiplet design. Zen 5 processor products are expected to arrive in the second half of 2024—with Granite Ridge filling in the desktop platform segment.

Well, better late than never.
The 16 CUs variant would translate into 1024 SP. It might be on par with the RX 6500XT.
Could be decent for a budget gaming PC - if the price is right. The 5700G wasn't really "affordable" when it launched.

I can wait to have a APU with RX6700xt horsepower one day.

Or in between the RX6800 and RX6800XT

6700XT has 40 RDNA 2 CU's, the Strix Halo APU will have 40 RDNA3.5 CU's. Even with a power of only 120W, I reckon it'll be at least 6600XT level.
I would guess equal to RX6700 XT at absolute worst due to being on refined chip(7/6 nm vs 5/4 nm) and RDNA 3.5(if the software shits the bed again) and hopefully more towards in between the RX6800 and the RX6800XT due to being on a refined chip and RDNA 3.5(software fixes on EVERYTHING that’s holding RDNA 3’s performance)

Hopefully, but this is AMD and I'll believe it when I see it. So far RDNA3 has been disappointing. Maybe RDNA3.5 will bring it to where it was promised and then some.

They have it in them. They came back with RDNA 2 and by far the best GPU generation they made in a LONG time. RDNA 3’s disappointment is really towards their high-end with their chiplet design. I view it as their ZEN 2 phase. There are improvements believe it or not. RX7600 is an improvement from the RX6600, even being on the same nm as before, however, compared to RTX 4060/4060ti, they are not as efficient nor not as powerful.

Like everyone else, I’m highly anticipating Intel’s next gen GPU so bring some much needed competition

To you maybe. If you have a 4K panel 7000 is great.
