Installation with a simple click? The Core Push Mounting Kit from Alphacool simplifies the installation of a Core Distro Plate. The Push Mounting Kit allows easy and secure mounting of a Core Distro Plate on a radiator or in a PC case. They ship a set of these included with the core distro plate. I just installed one in my wife's PC. While it's a great idea, it's designed around Alphacool radiators. I used two radiators from Black Ice in the build, and the threads on the mounting posts were too small for the fan mounting holes. Had to use 3mm nuts to secure the posts. Not sure what size the radiator holes were, probably 4mm but the Black Ice holes were the same size as my XSPC radiators.

Didn't you have different screws for the push pins with the distroplate? There should be M3, M4 and UNC screws included. The UNC should also fit the Black Ice. Or am I understanding you wrong? Because our radiators use M3 threads, some other manufacturers use UNC and very few use M4.

The kit I had had 6 plastic clips with screws that mount on the block, 6 metal posts with 3mm studs extending from them, 6 acorn nuts, and 6 3mm washers. As I said, not sure what the actual thread size on the radiator was, just that the stud was way to small to thread to the radiator. As it turned out to fit the case, I had to wind up mounting the distro plate offset lower than the radiator for the pump to clear a power supply shroud. I wound up installing the posts on a pair of brass rails I made to locate it about 2" lower than the bottom of the radiator. As far as additional posts or thread size adapters, I didn't see any in the box with the plate. Just the aforementioned parts in a single plastic bag

Just to add to diameters.

HWLabs uses M4x0.7mm
AC uses M3x0.5mm metric
XSPC uses 6/32" UNC

6/32" is bigger than M3, but smaller than M4. Often I find in EU that 6/32" has M3.5 designation which is not really true.

I was hoping AC will finally ditch M3 for M4 which is more practical. M3 was excellent choice in the old days when cases had actual holes drilled for rads (either 15mm or rarely 25mm). Now when basically every case has long slits brackets, M3 is too small to not fall through the slit. Always need washer for secure mounting. For that reason, after 15 years of using exclusively AC rads I switched to EK after they switched to M4 from stupid 6/32" inch screws, which are always pain in the back side to find anywhere outside UK or US. Even US HWLabs went with M4 from the start - that tells a lot.

As side note. Just waiting for my first AC distroplate (240). the design and universal application. Shame it doesn't have pump at the back, but oh well. Just curious did you consider doing 360s with dual D5? I never go for any workstation without dual D5. (I'll have support pump combo for this distro)
