After 10 years, we return to fight once more. This is where your souls belongs. The reviews are in. Armored Core is back. Ready to take Rubicon by storm? Suit up, Ravens. Success in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon comes from tinkering with highly customizable mech builds, a signature feature of the series, and learning the right strategies and techniques such as staggering enemies with the right weapons, combining ranged and melee attacks, and taking every advantage in battle.

A new action game based on the concept of the Armored Core series that uses the knowledge gained from FromSoftware's recent action game development. Combining FromSoftware's longstanding expertise in mech games with their signature action gameplay, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon brings a brand-new action experience to the series.

It's a good game. A call back to the old games.

It's really nothing like the old games, which were mission focused while this game is boss focused. The missions in this game are nowhere near as hard as the old games outside of the bosses. It's a 16 hour game that you can roll with a single OP mech loadout, dual songbirds, dual gats, tetrapod / fast tank legs. Mash buttons = win.

Maybe my memory is fading but this one also has missions where you simply have to kill x number of enemies and not just boss focused. But OK.

You are misunderstanding, yes there are missions (as my last comment stated) but they are not the focus. The missions in AC6 are a cakewalk, not remotely challenging. One of the top complaints for this game are that there is a huge difficulty gap between the missions and bosses. The missions are just filler essentially and there is very little story to this game on top of that. Most of the story in this game is presented in the form of audio with text, akin to the level you'd get in a visual novel only worse because VNs at least present you with multiple pictures and animations.

with the amount of "reviewers" out there now, its not hard to make a collage like that tbh, 95% of the names there...who the hell are these people and why should I respect their opinion?

I don't respect any of them. Not the old ones, not the new ones. I assume they're all paid to either talk wonder or talk shit about a game.

Eh, it's better than V/VD, but about on the same level as AC3SL/AC4A in terms of gameplay, but much worse in some other respects.

I'm mostly disappointed by the lack of part variety compared to past games (I suspect they'll be DLC at some point), the lack of some big bosses like the Arms Forts in AC4A, and the lack of more story/mission variety.

I'm hoping From expands on the games with additional parts, maybe some mini-mission pack style DLC, and eventually a large expansion down the line.

I am sure in two years we will get the second game sort of like AC4 had AC4 For Answer and AC5 had AC5 Verdict Day.
I love the game. I thought we would never get another AC since the Souls series makes so much money for them.
