Scratch that nostalgic itch with wholesome fun that's easy to pick up and play (but tough to master). In true rogue-like fashion, each time you're defeated, you'll have to start over at the beginning—but every playthrough makes you a little stronger. Hmm, I was ready to say I wanted to buy this one. But in the video the gameplay looks so stiff and lifeless. :/

I think it looks very cool. Shame it's not on GOG. Big missed opportunity there!

Ah, it seemed interesting to me in the static images, the cartoon look and everything, but the video shows crude animations of frames skipping, which put me off. I'll check this out on YouTube tomorrow to make sure.

I watched the same one as he did. The levels are too big causing everything to be spread out. Also needs a bit more polish to hide Valve's Source Engine.

It doesn't use Valve's Source Engine, it's a Unreal Engine game + hooked up to the EpicGames Online Service.

I was gonna comment on this, i added this to my wishlist (with my usual caveats) since when it was shown on an earlier TPU "this week in gaming article" but reading the reviews it's quite a turd as you also noted sadly, this turned into... mythFARCE.

Oh and launching via epic even if you bought it on steam is utter shit, epic does not have regional pricing they can go f themselves

Another one to shelve "until a year has passed" and/or "goes out of early access"
