Today, Logitech G, a brand of Logitech, and Playseat introduced the newest sim racing chair, the Playseat Challenge X - Logitech G Edition. Designed for Logitech G racing wheel and pedals, this new chair is a lightweight, foldable carbon steel frame and features a fully adjustable seat with Playseat's Actifit ️ breathable materials, providing sim racers with a racing chair that delivers exceptional comfort, versatility, durability and the performance needed to stay fully immersed in the race.

"There was a considerable amount of collaboration on this product to make the Challenge X more functional, comfortable and overall, a better racing experience, than traditional desktop gaming chairs. During that process our teams focused on three key areas of a sim racing chair and we couldn't be more happy with the results." said Jim Hoey, head of simulation marketing at Logitech G.

The Playseat Challenge X - Logitech G Edition features three new enhanced upgrades, including X-Adapt seat adjustments, ActiFit ️ breathable material and a hard mounted pedal plate with tilt positioning. The new Playseat Challenge X - Logitech G Edition features:
  • Enjoy the perfect balance between comfort and stability with the 6 seating positions of X-Adapt. Fine-tune positions of pedals and wheel to replicate the feeling of being in a car.
  • Breathable ActiFit ️ material and its body-conforming design and adjustable rigidity offers superior support and thermal management, allowing racers to stay comfortable and cool. It also transfers force feedback and Trueforce perfectly.
  • At only 11,6 kg (26 lbs) the seat can be quickly folded and stored away - the ideal companion for drivers who want the full racing experience without the need of a dedicated space.
  • Convenient cockpit entry system lets you easily jump into the driver's seat and lock in for an exhilarating experience.
  • Equipped with gearshift mount, allowing you to upgrade your race experience with the Logitech G Driving Force Shifter.

Pricing and Availability
The PlaySeat Challenge X - Logitech G Edition comes in gunmetal grey and is available at major retailers for a suggested retail price of $299 and €299.

Oof and I thought my Evo was bad and not worthy of my G923 setup. Apparently Playseat make something even worse. It looks like a lawn chair. Logitech decided THIS was the one they wanted their name on? Being VERy familiar with their wheels that thing is gonna be flexing and creaking until it will break…

If hardware quality is like G pro x 2, then it should be avoided. Of course this comparison is bad, as they are complety two different products.

I like the concept, but its still out of my price range, and for what it is its very overpriced... i have chair that looks very similar to this one for only 20 bucks, i mean it has none of those features, but still... lol

I mean I have a legit Playseat tho not their best design but when you’re buying used you consider yourself lucky someone is willing to ship it. I had a normal Solberg Edition before that I miss.. They make tons of different editions of there real rigs. This is just a glorified lawn chair why Logi picked it is beyond me. You should really visit the Playseat site before you make uninformed statement…but your posts are copy/pasta predicable anyway..
This is considered “low end” for Playseats

Well, I did visit the site before posting, so I would know what I was posting about, therefore, I stand by my statement....

I like saving $$ as much as anyone else, but I don't do the "Cheap is as Cheap does" thingy, and I can quickly recognize garbaggio clustercrap when I see it :D

Besides the portability, there's nothing good about this seat for the price. You can buy a metal cockpit with a chair included for $350 and it'll perform much better than this. If you want the lawn chair type portability, other brands go for $200 on Amazon.

I honestly didn’t think they even did such ”budget“ level but if you saw the site you saw tons of “editions“ of their good stuff so why Logi chose that considering the quality of what they sell to put on that is truly puzzling. My brake pedal is so stiff it can make mine flex a bit...

That does not look very secure at all and the price is nope.

As much as I like racing SIMs, if I got a wheel I'd rather get a solid stand like the GT Omega.
Recaro seats are nice on the track, but at home I'm a La-Z-Boy.

I have a terrible back and my Playseat is WAY more comfortable than sitting in my "Ergo chair" which eventually my sciatica kicks and my butt goes numb even with a gel pad. Playseat(the nice ones) are VERY comfortable despite not being anything special in design.

The Next Level GTLite Pro is at the same price point, folds up, and looks like much better construction.
