I think I have seen this case iteration before. Like, 20 times already.

Add to that, when they are these monolith designs, they are no longer small imo and kinda defeats the purpose of itx for me.

Of course you've seen this case design before, it's a two-year-old case.

And it's still just 41cm tall, which is shorter than any ATX midtower. But the main point of this form factor is that it has a small footprint on your desk. People often have much more vertical space to spare than horizontal space, and this design takes advantage of that. It is much easier to fit a Revolt 3 or H1 onto a compact desk than something like the Meshify 2.

When i read the headline i thought that maybe Maingear had collaborated with Phanteks but apparently not.

I have a 7800x3d + 7900xtx Sapphire Nitro+ into a 14,6L Meshliscious.... what should I do sir ?

more seriously, I do agree with the comments above, the idea of those cases is to propose new arrangements of the components to reduce footprint on desks and visual impact.
After saying that, for people who are ok to put their tower under their desk then yeah it make no sense to invest time and money in this kind of solutions.
For my part I used to have a 1m tall tower with like 5 or more CD racks in the early 90s...but now I just do really like staring at my tiny setup everyday.
