Why is "Chromebook" - supposed to be cheap, long battery life, lower performance, limited connectivity targetting users whose primary activity is "online" - now with Intel 12th gen and "AI"? Makes no sense to what a chromebook is strategically positioned as, and how the market perceives it.

On top of that, they're still hamstrung by 8GB RAM (Chrome will take care of that with a few tabs) and relatively small storage. Oh well, I didn't see the point of a Chromebook at $200-300, I am not seeing one at current pricing.

The only "upside" is that Chromebooks have a foothold in the educational system. And now the educational system get to pony up more $$$.
