It is crazy to me how hardly anyone has adopted Wifi 6(E) and now Wifi 7 is being released. And for stupid amounts of money. I shouldnt have to pay upwards of $250 for wifi for my home.

It's called inflation. Everything is getting more expensive.

This, is crap though and shouldn't cost $400+ as it's only a 2x2 setup on all bands, based on the most basic of Qualcomm's WiFi platforms, the Pro 620.

Don't spend money on this overpriced BestBuy level shit. Build your own mesh network with Unifi or other pro level gear. It dosen't have to be (and shouldn't) the latest bleeding edge Wi-Fi standard, buy APs that use established and vetted standards at whatever price to performance you need and upgrade whenever you feel the need a few years down the line.

I had to factory reset my nest wifi at one point, and it took four hours to get 5 pucks set up.

That is actually what I have resolved to want to do. If im going to drop a grand on a wifi mesh network, might as well get commercial level hardware

10 minutes is slow. As some of you know, I worked for a router manufacaturer some years ago and the routers they made took less than three minutes to set up.

I was actually pretty alarmed by how fast I was able to set up my current Linksys router/node.
You don't even manually set them up anymore (it's a little too idiot proof IMO) - basically just here's our app, go forth.
