I might give these a try, I am still not brave enough to drop hundreds on a single pair of headphones, maybe these will work "well enough" on ANC

Between me and my ex, I and her had 2 or 3 sets of Sony's Budget ANC Wired Headphones.
Managed to legit. 'wear-out' at least 1 set from use: They're designed more for 'travel', rather than DD'ing on a desktop/laptop.
Still, I have 2 sets 'floating around' my tech stuff, and they still work w/ a fresh batt. (even tho the pads are falling apart, now.)
(BTW, The $8-20 non-ANC Sony folding headphones that look EXTREMELY similar (I've accidentally bought 2+ sets, on sale), are also "bretty dang gud" for sub-$20 non-ANC headphones)

I think my 1st two sets were ~$16 on clearance (I worked Retail, for several years), and they're On Sale @TM for ~$30.
The Sonys sound like arse w/ the ANC turned off, but they're the best-sounding 'cheapie' set of headphones I've ever used (w/ ANC on).
I've also tried 2 price-tiers of Audio-Technica's competing sets, and they're just plain-terrible (ANC on or off). Even 'on clearance' I returned both. (Keep in mind, this was 5+ years ago)

Regardless, (IMO) the QCY H3s are targeting other 'decent-good' wired competitors; expecting customers to be 'sold' on the wireless aspect.
Sony's mdrzx110nc are $40 MSRP, and I've seen other wired ANC sets for similar pricing.

I already ordered the H3, if they don't impress me enough I will refund. I was looking at their app in the Play Store, it collects a lot of data... but so does Anker's Soundcore app... so I think at this point I just have to stop giving a fuck about my privacy cause modern times be shit, lol

If the headphones are 'standardized' enough, you may find an open-source or more-trustworthy 3rd party app to control their features.
TBQH, if they didn't have ANC-function and sound at least 'decent' out-of-box, I'd be returning 'em, myself.
Ex. I don't use the Logi-app for my MX518 Legend. If the mouse hadn't had basic-functionality out of box, I'd have returned them to worst buy immediately.

I just canceled my order, I really want ANC, but I am not sure I trust a company with this kind of app. Why do they need access to so much of my shit... yeah I got bad vibe from their app when I looked it up in Play Store just now. ffs give me a pair of ANC headphones and don't harvest my fucking soul. modern capitalism is utter and complete shit.

If they're like other Sony headphones you don't actually need the app. I used my WH-1000XM3's for a long time before I knew there even was an app for them. EQ can be done elsewhere.

I thought you had preordered the new Bose's, or whatever it was?

ANC has usually a physical button and it's on, off and passthrough and that seems to be universal. The only thing you will ever need the app for is updating the firmware or maybe switch the codec since android don't save the codec settings on the developer settings. And the equalizer is always a joke, they will never go over 5 bands.

no i canceled my bose preorder, cause that much money was just too much for me to spend, ANC has been a dream of mine for awhile now, but i dont want the cheap stuff. luckily there are some cheaper options now that are decent from what I understand. I am going to try the Creative Hybrid Zen 2... might have some luck with those we will see.

H3 has a slider in app to increase the intensity of the ANC or not, so you need to app I believe.
