Tech innovator GELID Solutions, unveils Enhanced Cooling Solutions with the new Silent 12 and Silent 12 PWM Black Fans Featuring Innovative Reinforced Mount Bearing. Developed with precision engineering, these Fans set a new standard for quiet and efficient cooling. These fans ensure not only a silent operation but also unparalleled durability, creating an optimal gaming environment with enhanced airflow for extended gaming sessions.

Building on the success of the Silent 12 series, the new Silent 12 and Silent 12 PWM Black Fans now incorporate a reinforced mount bearing. Beyond durability, the reinforced mount bearing plays a pivotal role in maintaining the fan's silent operation. By reducing internal friction and wear, it significantly lowers the risk of
noise generation, providing users with a quiet and peaceful computing experience.

With the intelligent Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control technology that automatically adjusts fan speed according to the CPU load, the Silent 12 PWM Black strikes the ideal balance between performance, silence, and enhanced durability.

The new Silent 12 and Silent 12 PWM Black Fans are RoHS and WEEE compliant and carry a 3 year warranty.

"Thrilled to unveil our latest Silent 12 and Silent 12 PWM Black Fans! The reinforced mount bearing sets a new standard for durability and silence in computer cooling. A significant step forward in silent technology. Excited to bring these innovations to our customers!", said Gebhard Scherrer, Sales Director of GELID Solutions Ltd.

Low speed with 800 RPM being the lowest?

My Noctua NF-A12x25 can run 225 RPM and the NF-A15 idles at 175 RPM.

Thats the fixed speed for V model.

Seems to be similar motor to arctic, so should be able to drop to 200 rpm,
but those have 6/10 warranty, so ill stick with those.

So when they say “Hydrodynamic Bearing”, is this just a non-patent term for FDB or…? Because I have no actual idea, Fractal calls the motor on some of their fans something similar and it turned out it’s just a tuned sleeve bearing.

sleeve bearing usually wont be silent for long, probably not even last 3y in most cases.
ignoring for a moment that this isnt from fractal, so what they name stuff isnt comparable.

still, i dont believe 0db for the motor..

I don't care much for fans, what I miss are the semi-passive ones which turned off below 25% PWM. I bought one years ago and it was a godsend until it developed an annoying noise. Nowadays I can only find one model from Arctic, infected with blinking light cancer.

You can't argue because of the price... it costs what it should cost.

Newer revisions of the normal P12 have fan stop below 5% PWM, the P12 Max also does. There are probably loads of others that also have this feature.

@Tahagomizer
at least for 120/140mm fans, all have a turn-off below xx rpm features for +10y, no matter if pwm or V controlled,
its more up to the controller to be able to restart them, and none of those have any leds on them,
so not sure what your are talking about.

ignoring for a moment that nothing prevents anyone from "disconnecting" the led part (of a fan).
