If this product had a fully fledged USB4 chip, the real word speed would be listed around 3700 MB/s. Therefore I assume it is yet another TB4 compliant with USB4.

As mentioned above, it is using native USB4 (ASM2464PD). I have an enclosure based on the same chip (Hyper Drive) and it only gets around 3100 MB/s sequential read and write with a Gen4 drive installed.
