"Black Myth: Wukong" is an adaptation of the 16th century Chinese fantasy novel "Journey to the West," which had gain cult popularity in recent times. The action RPG has been brought to life by studio Game Science, and with the gifted hands of artist Yang Qi. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5, and is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, on August 20, 2024, after what will be close to five years of development and refining. Months ahead of its release, though, the studio teamed up with NVIDIA to demonstrate what's in store for those with the latest GeForce RTX graphics, in its jaw-dropping new trailer. NVIDIA announced that the game will support DLSS 3 Frame Generation at launch, which is scheduled for Aug 20, 2024.

Don't miss the trailer!

looks good. but still gonna wait till it comes out before buying it
after the 'the day before' drama, i think it's better wait for actual review gameplay before buying any games now. especially no pre-order
will see does it have microtransaction, p2w aspect, battlepass, etc

It's obvious: I can't imagine a good gameplay without RTX™ and DLSS™ these days.

Cool VFXs tho...

after volumetric lighting (like in the division or division 2) nothing really seem to surprise me anymore
so yeah next gen on console yes, on pc lol no

here is some other examples
the faces in crysis was top notch 10 YEARS ago
half-life 2 was a game changer with physics

Ray Tracing is just there to make your old card slow and you have to upgrade, nvidia is really good at not having enough vram soo your memory starved with RT

Still trying to discover what's actually dynamic about this lighting or anything :D

Looks like vanilla Elden Ring, tbh. Almost a copy, graphically. It certainly doesn't look better. Lighting is unimpressive and clearly pre cooked mostly. Assets aren't higher in fidelity, surface texturing is PS4 era stuff.

If this is taxing... lmao. Fools & Money be parted

It looks great, until you realized that runs really badly with even the fastest consumer GPU you can get. Given this year's trend, I can't help but think next year's games will not get any better if not worst. So no fake frames, your FPS is gonna tank.

My 2 cents, a good game don't need to be picture perfect. If it comes with it, it is a bonus. And as you know by now, all these high quality image/ lighting always come at a steep cost to performance.

All I am saying is this game should run on a toaster much like Elden Ring does, and if it doesn't, we're being ripped a new one.
Its not ugly - I don't think Elden Ring is ugly either, but its certainly not RTX in anything. Its just generic graphics. Much like Elden Ring I think this game stands out not because of graphical fidelity, but art and design of characters. That's pretty strong imho from what's seen in the trailer.

Elden Ring is probably my second favorite game of all time, just behind Shadow of the Colossus. But let's be real here, the graphics in Elden Ring are rather low quality, assets are low quality, textures, geometric detail, lighting, the list goes on. What saves Elden Ring is its level design which is really among the best. I wish FromSoftware would either update their engine or move past it because it's about as up to date as Bethesda's stuff. AC6 looks like a late gen PS3 game, it's silly at this point.

It's called "Ngreediya 101", a well defined, almost limitless "feature", who's sole purpose is to make them richer, and you poorer... :D

Will a AAA title ever live up to the hype again, especially one using Unreal 5 engine.

If only another company had fake frames tech too.
