ZOTAC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Lineup Leaked

Pictures of ZOTAC's custom-design GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER graphics cards hit the web. These look, unsurprisingly, similar to the company's custom-design RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 Ti graphics cards, reusing existing cooler designs, with the exception being the new SKU markings on the boxes. It's what's on the silicon that counts. ZOTAC's custom RTX 4070 SUPER lineup includes the TwinEdge and TwinEdge OC at price points close to NVIDIA's baseline price; and a premium SKU in the form of the Trinity Black. There may be more SKUs than the pictures leaked, given that there is an RTX 4070 AMP AIRO.

The TwinEdge is a compact board design that covers the basics. It is 2 slots thick, although about a half inch taller than what constitutes "full height." The cooler features a compact aluminium fin-stack heatsink, which is ventilated by a pair of fans. Unlike the RTX 4070 TwinEdge, the RTX 4070 SUPER TwinEdge could replace the single 8-pin PCIe power connector with a 12VHPWR, given that the TGP of the GPU is rumored to be 220 W. The Trinity Black is a more high-end looking product, with a triple-slot cooler, a roughly 31 cm card length, and 12 cm height, if the RTX 4070 Ti Trinity Black is anything to go by.

AND smoldering ashes of what once were complete pc's, and/or mobo's, cases, houses, apartments etc....

Given that it says that at least one of the models is 1/2" taller than normal, and with the existing power connectors already having caused fitment issues due to bending/melting, this would looks a frightening nightmare in the making, and I would have thought that Zotac, who normally makes some decent, well-engineered parts, would have wanted to avoid that scenario altogether...but oh well, whatchagonnado

These cards all come with 12V-2x6 connectors. Recently manufactured 40 non-Super do as well. None will burn. Not that this problem wasn't about exclusively affecting the 4090 with its bizarrely high power draw anyway.

Not to mention the broken state AAA games are released in these days. It's a clown show all around.

I find that my laptop's RTX 3050 can run 85% of everything I play on very high to maximum settings at above 60 fps, targeting 1080p. Maybe I'm getting old...

Question is: are they using the updated 12PINHPW connector that nvidia is using on their founder edition? Also heard that nvidia is gonna ditch it for 2x6HPW connectors soon.

Anyway no one is salty at nvidia more like disappointed . I would love to get excited about new cards but Im almost certain they will be priced at almost twice as much as they’re worth

Um, no! The 8pin standard connector is preferred thank you very much. The new ATX3.0 connector is a sh!tshow and a lot of people DON'T want it. The fact that Zotac is going with the better, if older, connector is going to earn them business with many.

These cards are for people who are, and try to follow along here, building NEW systems or are upgrading from GTX1000's(possibly older), RTX2000's cards or even lower tier RTX 3000's. These cards are NOT for people who already have RTX4000's cards. That said, Zotac makes a very stylish and smooth looking set of cards.

I've yet to see a single case of a 4090 doing this (taking out anything more than it's own connector/cable), so asserting that cards drawing significantly less than a 4090 would do this, with the revised connector would appear to be either daft as heck, or some sort of attempt at humor. Nvidia (like all corporations) are greedy, but they not stupid.

It's why i keep my GPU for 2 generations atleast.

I went from a 1070 to 4070 Ti. Sure, it cost me a penny but i have no other hobbies, nor do i smoke or drink

About 150 dollars a year for a GPU upgrade (800 to 900 EUR divided by 6 years between GPUs) isn't particularly much.

I for one, won't buy a card with the new connector, it's flaws are completely unacceptable. It seems these clowns are doubling down on it, but I will steer way clear of cards launching with it.

The 8-pin connectors are proven by time to be effective and reliable.

I'm with you on that point. In some cases we don't have a choice, but I'm glad Zotac is giving us one here!

Just from a business standpoint alone; can you just imagine how much money one would save on warranty returns and not having to compensate customers for other components that might have been damaged alongside it?

It's madness.

It just goes to show people, they make so much damn money on overpriced GPU's that it doesn't seem to be a concern to them.

Exactly. The new connectors are very poorly designed and should be avoided.
