I like the split cooling scheme on the Bifrost cards, with some of the heat going back into the case but some of it getting blown out the back. I wish I could justify buying a new graphics card right now.

Edit: I take it back, these new Bifrost cards just use the same heat-into-the-case cooling scheme every other graphics card uses.

Why didn't they make a Bifrost cooler like the one they use for their Arc cards? And I do agree with @Imouto, there's no other Nitro for Radeons than Sapphire's, even though I know very well where Acer is coming from with their naming.

Considering that Acer uses the "Nitro" moniker for ages for many of their other products, they'll probably reply with a picture of a middle finger.

Yeah, Acer has used the Nitro name for so long I doubt anyone except consumers will complain.

Well we will see since the Sapphire Nitro brand is well known since they introduced it in 2015. I do know that Acer used Nitro on some displays and laptops.....but never on GPUs afaik.

I'm not a trademark lawyer, but from my limited understanding how international trademarks work, the word "Nitro" can't be trademarked at all since it's a relatively common term in the English language. Therefore, you have to file trademarks called "Sapphire Nitro XXX" or "Acer Nitro YYY" in the respective product categories which aren't really that granular. I'd assume that displays, GPUs and other peripherals fall into the same category of the trademark register. Unless Acer uses the exact phrasing as Sapphire after the word "Nitro" they should be fine.
It also doesn't matter how old a trademark is. Unlike copyright or patent law, the owner of a trademark has to actually use and defend it, or they risk losing it. That's also the reason why you can't register and stockpile phony trademarks like patents. In this case, either Sapphire or Acer would have had to sue the other company a long time ago, if the trademark was only the term "Nitro" or both companies would risk losing the respective trademark.

Well, they do use it and if they are going to defend or try to claim it is not upon us.

Also a friendly mail/letter does not have to include legal action.......but I still believe they send out some nice words. The rest remains to be seen.
