MSI and CAPCOM announced a Monster Hunter-themed product partnership last week—this popular Japanese-made gaming franchise is celebrating its twentieth year in 2024. As promised in last week's declaration, MSI managed to exhibit their concept prototypes at an exclusive booth, in close proximity to everything else they had going on at the Las Vegas Convention Center. TPU staffers had a lot of items on their proverbial plates chez MSI, so not everything MH 20th Anniv. related was captured in glorious detail.

The MSI MPG GUNGNIR 300 Monster Hunter Edition case was prominently placed at the front of MSI's special booth; TPU was surprised to see that a full system had been put together inside of it. Naturally, franchise-themed hardware was visible through a glass side panel—including MH-themed case fans. The fully operational gaming system was hooked up to a MAG 274QRF QD E2 Monster Hunter Edition gaming monitor.

The MPG Z790 EDGE motherboard series was represented with a limited edition Monster Hunter Edition placed on a rear plinth (also installed in the nearby demo PC rig). TPU's photographer also took a snap of MSI's MAG CORELIQUID E360 that was sporting Monster Hunter branding on its fans and pump cover.

The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8G GAMING SLIM Monster Hunter Edition limited edition graphics card was showcased out in the open, and inside the demo PC. MSI wisely did not exhibit this lower mid-range model alongside their custom GeForce RTX 40 SUPER offerings.

This would have been perfect without the ”20th anniversary” everywhere. :(

Regardless of how much I like this IP, I won't change my PC just to get a branded MH piece but that Motherboard is really nice, the red, the drawing on the heatspreader and PCI shield, really neat.

Eh, my only disappointment is that it's Intel and NVIDIA again, no AMD options alongside them, esp given AMD's own Red-oriented aesthetic would have been perfect, and MSI could have even done Rathalos Red for AMD and Zinogre Blue/Green for Intel and NVIDIA.
