EK, the premium liquid cooling solutions manufacturer, is launching a wide range of EK-Loop OmniLink cables to support its fans, pumps, D-RGB, and 12 V and 5 V power distribution connections. EK's OmniLink solutions allow daisy chaining of multiple fans, reducing cable clutter and greatly easing cable management. These cables perfectly complement EK-Loop FPT and EK-Quantum Impulse fans and all products with standard D-RGB and 4-pin fan connectors. This product series contains splitters, extenders, and cables with specific requirements that act as replacements for PSU cables.

EK-Loop OmniLink 6-Pin Power (Dual PWM) cable is the starting point of the OmniLink cable harness with the necessary 6-Pin power, D-RGB, and dual 4-Pin PWM connectors. The OmniLink cable allows for easy transmission and distribution of +12V and +5V Power, PWM, TACHO, and D-RGB signals. The cable features a black ribbon style for easy build integration and cable management.

Molex Micro-Fit 3.0 8-Pin Female Connector to:
  • 1x 6-Pin Power Connector (Pinout PSU Dependent)
  • 1x 4-Pin PWM 1 Source Fan Female Connector (TACHO, PWM)
  • 1x 4-Pin PWM 2 Source Fan Female Connector (PWM Signal Only)
  • 1x 3-Pin D-RGB LED Source Female Source Connector (Data Line Only)
EK-Loop OmniLink 6-Pin Power (Dual PWM) cable is compatible with all EK-Loop OmniLink products, standard 4-pin PWM fan/pump motherboard headers, and standard 5V D-RGB (ARGB) connectors used by most major motherboard manufacturers. The cable 6-pin Power connector must be assembled manually by following the desired PSU pinout diagram, as it connects directly to the modular PSU Peripheral/SATA power output. This cable will not draw any power from your motherboard/controller headers since +5V and +12V are connected directly to the PSU. Thus raising the maximum current available to 8.5A for D-RGB and 8.5A for fans/pumps.

About time that someone starts making a modern molex-daisy chain equivalent of peripheral plugs that can be powered off PCI 6-pin (maybe 8-pin in the future?). Though reading through this, seems like there's some additional stuff to double-check.

I've been using my own custom 6-pin PCI cables to power server-grade fans and am still having to source legacy 4-pin Molex or rig up adapters that would output the needed voltage to power some second-hand server-grade HDDs. They don't like regular SATA power for whatever reason, and even the instructions coming with them mention using 4-pin Molex to SATA adapters instead of just regular SATA to get the drives to power on.
