Simply NUC, Inc, a leading custom computing company, proudly announced the expansion of the Onyx product line with Onyx Pro, a revolutionary Mini Workstation designed to cater to diverse computing needs. Powered by the Intel Core i9 vPro "Raptor Lake" 13900H CPU, Intel IRIS Xe integrated graphics, and featuring optional graphics cards such as NVIDIA T1000, Radeon Pro WX 3200, and Intel Arc A40, the Onyx Pro redefines computing in a compact form factor.

"Introducing the Onyx Pro marks a pivotal moment for Simply NUC." said Jonny Smith, CEO of Simply NUC "Powered by Intel Core i9 vPro "Raptor Lake", it's our first product with 10G fiber (x2) and standard quad network ports. With unmatched performance, AI-readiness, and advanced networking, Onyx Pro sets a new standard for compact workstations."

Packed with power and versatility, the Onyx Pro is equipped with a low-profile PCIe x16 slot, opening doors to numerous applications, including video capture, AI, CAD Design, Complex Modeling, Large Database Analysis, and Simulation. If additional storage or I/O is needed, the unit offers one M.2 / 2280 PCIe Gen 4 slot, two M.2 / 2280 PCIe Gen 3 slots and multiple connectivity options including HDMI 2.0, two USB4 Type-C/Alt DP, three USB 3.2 Type-A and two USB2.0 Type-A ports.

The Onyx Pro is an AI-Ready Powerhouse, seamlessly handling performance-intensive tasks, AI inferencing with software and hardware acceleration, machine learning, and more. The collaboration between the Intel Core i9 vPro "Raptor Lake" CPU, Intel IRIS Xe integrated graphics, and optional Nvidia GPUs (T1000, Radeon Pro WX3200, Intel Arc A40) makes complex modeling, 3D design, and large database analysis effortlessly achievable. Supporting quad 4K monitors at up to 60 Hz ensures a visually stunning experience for multitasking, excelling in E-CAD / M-CAD design, modeling, and simulation.

Embrace the future of networking with Onyx Pro, featuring (x2) 10GbE SFP+ fiber ports and two 2.5GbE ports, providing advanced network capabilities to support high throughput and integrated router needs. The SFP+ enables fiber, video-in, and R45 connections, while the option to add a low-profile Networking PCIe card offers an additional 3 extra ports or advanced networking supporting a security device.

That's the price of the 'fully configured' model, with an entire 8GB of RAM and a massive 256GB ssd.

No OS though, that'll cost you full retail price for Windows.

I was thinking the same thing. Now I'm wondering if Minisforum is buying them and re-branding too, or if Simply NUC is buying them from Minisforum.

Or they sourced from the same factory but somehow Simply NUC wants to markup a little bit more....

Might be worth the markup to buy from a US company that has better support than Minisforum, especially if this is for professional use.

It was such a pain getting my Minisforum PC back online after I reformatted it. No drivers available on their website for my model, Windows update wasn't able to get them, no official support or manual besides to identify which NICs it even had in it. Took some trial and error to get the right ones.

All you needed to do was email Minisforum and ask for help...

I'm woefully unimpressed by their support website. I recently bought an HX100G for my wife. It's an impressive device with some odd quirks. A little testing and googling revealed that the USB-C/DP ports only run from the integrated graphics, and the HDMI ports run off the dedicated graphics. Silly me, I thought with AMD in both cases it would just gracefully switch based on performance requirements or at the very least I could assign an application to use a specific device. Still, there's a lot of performance in that little box, and it is barely audible at full load.
