Xbox Live to Offer ESPN Games

ESPN has signed a deal to bring full-length games and TV shows to Xbox Live, the online entertainment network for Microsoft's Xbox 360. Among the offerings available for purchase starting Monday on the Xbox Live Marketplace are days-old, full-length NCAA college football and basketball games, Summer X Games 13 and episodes of such ESPN shows as "World Series of Poker," "The Contender" and "Madden Nation." Pricing for the ESPN content will range from the equivalent of $2 for standard-definition episodes of "Contender" and "Poker" to $2.40 for HD versions. Two-hour football and basketball games will be available within days of their original airing and be priced at $3 for standard definition and $4.50 for HD.

I would actually buy some Los Angeles Lakers games, but only the ones not televised nationally because I record all of those in my HD DVR.

it will fail when it hits UK shores i just know it, we dont really give 2 hoots over TV on our PC's and consoles. Xbox live should be for games, dedicated so there are no problems for the Xbox gamers. I wouldn't want to pay a couple of quid to watch a football game, Yeah the only way i get to watch Celtic play is on PPV Setanta, no problem i know plenty of people with it, better watching games with your mates and some beer!! Sorry M$, it just wont work here!!

Id like to see movies for download if it had the ability to be moved to a pc. Also id like to be able to download TV and stuff or stream it.

Im from GLSGW and i know that You can only see Celtics league games on setanta heck even now im watching Champions League but the whole point is that you dont have to buy a weeks subscription to a channel to watch 1 football game the point is that you can stream games and watch them again. Or order a PPV it would be good to download HD movies because they would be cheaper than buying Blu ray or HD DVD

nah i support Glasgow Celtic Football Club not Celtics in US of A the basketball team other than Glasgow Celtic FC i like Inter milan i think that downloads other than xbox live arcade games can work just need a better payment system like actual money but then theres currency barriers i think it could still work all it needs is a currency exchange rate to be sorted so that all our dl cost about the right price.
