ARCTIC, a leading manufacturer of low-noise PC coolers and components, presents its most powerful 120 mm fan in a white design reminiscent of snow and ice. However, the look is not the only innovation. With the P12 Max (White), ARCTIC is responding to customer feedback. The high-speed fan offers fans of white PC builds pure performance in a wintry look. As a special feature, the white edition of the P12 Max is equipped with ARCTIC's proven fluid dynamic bearing. This enables virtually silent operation at low speeds, as demanded by many customers. And the longevity? Still guaranteed, with a manufacturer's warranty of six years. The P12 Max (White) is therefore an ideal upgrade for PCs at the start of the year: geared towards high performance, it provides a significant performance boost for existing air- and water-cooling systems and features wide control range and a maximum speed of 3300 RPM.

Features
  • Wide speed range: 200-3300 rpm
  • 0 rpm under 5 % PWM
  • Pressure-optimized fans
  • NEW: Fluid dynamic bearing
  • Maximum smoothness, minimum vibration
  • Optimized for use on radiators & heat sinks
  • 6 years warranty
Availability
The P12 Max (White) is available from today at a starting at a price of $10.99 (MSRP $14.49).

The "news" here is that Arctic somehow thought releasing the P12 Max in only black last year was a good idea!

They're good fans, I like them - I'm just not sure offering them in white is really worth a news article though. If we had "news" for every time a product got a new colour, we'd basically just have a stream of non-events that would completely bury any actual news.

I guess this is "a slow news" day :)

The switch to fluid dynamic bearing in the white version was newsworthy, I had to return my original P12 Max fans because the dual ball bearing was noisy even at a low RPM.

Ohhh, so Arctic had the fluid dynamic bearing in the black P12 Max fans but ball bearings in the white P12 Max fans? Man, that's both stupid and dishonest. I now understand the point of the information. Having said that, I find it strange that dual ball bearing fans would make a lot of noise because even the rifle bearings in my Cooler Master Sickleflow fans have been noiseless for the past five years. Back when I bought them, Sickleflow fans were some of the best out there because they moved a lot of air without a lot of noise. Looking at these Arctic fans, maybe I should consider switching because I have a server-sized supertower case and I need fans with a high CFPH rating because there's A LOT of air in it to move.

No, the other way around, they switched to FDB in the white version.
Yes, that's what I meant. They had ball bearings in the white ones with FDB in the black but now they have it in both. Yeah, I can see why that would be worth talking about.
