Would replace my 2700X in my second Rig with my 5950X , and drop the 5950XT3D in my main Rig !

Has a 5950XT with 3D V-cache been announced? I doubt it, but if that comes to pass, I'm buying another AM4 motherboard. I still have a Dominator Platinum ROG edition DDR4 kit here.

I had a 5950X, it was a pretty good CPU. Socket AM4 itself was a horrorshow for the longest time but now that everything is fixed, I find ti's one of the safest options rn.

I'd like to build another machine, but what'd really tempt me is a dual-CCD X3D part. Which pretty much isn't happening I reckon.

We just have to see hopefully it will be.. when you think about it they released 5800x3d 5700x3d so they might not bother with 5700xt or 5800xt only option will be 5900xt or 5950xt or 3d...

That makes sense, a non 3d cache XT version would be pretty DOA, 3d versions have so many discounts they'd need to almost give away non-3d versions for them to move when everyone knows the performance advantage. The 5800x3d is still competitive with top end parts, the others aren't and a few megaherts extra boost won't change that.

I guess I'll need to wait further before buying a 5800x3d, I realize if XT versions materialize it only makes sense for them to be 3d versions and as it's the end of the line might as well get the best.
