Affirming its eco-conscious stance, Sony today introduced its Graphic Splash Eco Edition notebooks-a version of its popular VAIO FZ computers. Available in four vibrant, natural styles - Caribbean Water, Clay Earth, Spotted Life and Bloom - these eye-catching notebooks are inspired by nature in favour of protecting the environment. All four machines feature variety of Core 2 Duo processors, up to 4GB of memory, 15.4-inch display, Windows Vista Home Premium, and the rest of the usual FZ specs. Sony also notes that it will donate one percent of the price of each Graphic Splash Eco Edition notebook purchased to non-profit organizations working to preserve the environment. The VAIO Graphic Splash Eco Edition notebooks will start at about $1,391 and will be available in limited quantities in early November.

So, these are "Eco-friendly" because... Sony gives 1% of the price to non-profit organizations?

How about making sure they're power-efficient and made with recycled products? Wouldn't that be a better way to be "Eco-friendly?"

WELCOME TO COMPANY HYPOCRISY

things to do :

say you are eco friendly even if you are using
1 childs labors across 3 world countries
2 use heavy metals and many toxic components
3 the only recycled material is your manual(some times not even that but you can always us chlorine and arsenic on it)
4 put a lot of green stamps
5 give 0,000000000000001 of your profit in ecology non-profit organizations
6 when someone talk back just bribe him

Ahh, eco designs. That makes me want to go out and buy one...NOT!. I do like the designs though, probably another reason for Sony to overcharge for their laptops.
